  When people sit or stand idly at work, or take breaks everyday, as a habit.

  When people call in sick or go home early a lot.

  When people move very slowly at work.

  When customers rudely interrupt two employees engaged in legitimate business, without waiting even a moment, just breaking right in with a demanding "excuse me" or just start talking.

  When employers send a bunch of associates home just because it's raining, leaving huge gaps on the salesfloor or on the front end of the store with no coverage.

  When men hock and spit on the floor or even the ground where other people walk.

  NIT-PICK

  i am riding on the same bus carrying a butt-load of x-jw's who take exception to the lies and mind-f@#%ing of the org.

  i was blasted by some for asserting that there are hidden and subliminal images in the illustrations used in the wt publications, and that is fine.

  i also understand that there are more important issues than hidden images in the wt publications.

  Hi Hunyadi,

  I think you're just having a bad day or something. Hope you don't really think a lot of people here attack you about the images? They don't dismiss your threads as unimportant! They respect your thoughts enough to bother to argue with you. They just don't "see" the images I guess. Or care, whatever.

  Look at how hard you took Dave's comments, and then got to know him, and you said he's great.

  I love being made aware of the inappropriate images in the WT literature, even when you dismiss my suggestion that there are images where you deem them unimportant (remember?).

  I personally love your way of expressing yourself, and I get a real kick out of your sarcasm ("my aunt-fanatical so-and-so") !

  I don't think you really want to belittle the themes of some of the other threads, do you? You're a nice guy.

  Racism In The Organization

  on the surface, racism is not suppose to exist in the org.

  i have a different experience .

  .. i use to work for a brother who was also a general contractor.

  In 32 years, I've never been aware of any racial prejudice in any of the congregations I attended in So Cal or Detroit or New York. But then I wasn't aware of much of anything in any congregation, because I just never got very involved with the people themselves, being an extreme "loner" type. In Northern Cal, I don't remember there being any race but caucasian and one or two Latino. Probably not an accurate memory; I just don't really remember.

  I seriously believed that race was NO ISSUE at all among Jehovah's Witnesses, except on rare occasions, always having to do with interracial couples and their families' reactions to the prospect.

  In Detroit, I got to the point that when I was trying to describe a person to someone else, I never mentioned race, and once someone just couldn't recall the person I was trying to describe, so they asked me if they were "black or white" and I honestly couldn't remember! That was weird. Turned out they were both "black" I guess, just different shades.

  Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that the "perfect racial harmony" was just another lie. But there are many JWs who really aren't prejudiced, I'm sure of that.

  ours was only used when the co visited and there was a coffee break at the hall part way through field service.. any one know?.

  My heart is broken.....

  when you don't have much family left because they are all lost in the religion, you hang on to the family you have.

  i take care of my aunt (who is only 2 years older than i am).

  she is a drug addict and alcoholic.

  for those of you who have been here for a long time and have supported so many people, i'm sure you've dealt with this and are probably sick of the topic.

  i thought i was fine; the relationship was not well, so the right thing to do is to either fix it or move on.

  well, it doesn't seem to be that easy.

  Dear Octavia,

  No, I don't believe Jehovah God is punishing you. I don't believe He is connected with Jehovah's Witnesses at all! That organization just took on His OT name. They liked the idea of calling themselves "God's Only True People."

  But He allowed His Son to come to earth to show how much He actually loves humans, let him be ridiculed, tortured and killed to show how much He loves humans. So again, no, I don't believe He would make that demonstration of His undying love and then punish humans for being humans in association with a man made organization that exemplifies LACK OF LOVE, instead of Godly love.

  Broken relationships are "killer" so to speak. They hurt like there's no tomorrow. But most of us have been through it at least once, and the intense emotional pain subsides in time and even goes away.

  I'm still sorry for your pain, though, and hope you feel much better soon!

  since some of you inquired... i have just come home from the hospital the dr said "you are a tough old bird -after he saw the xrays.

  he knew i suffer a lot of pain anyway.

  ( rh arth)-gonna live another 25 years"-i told him to" scram.
