ahh i see you have all missed the new ministry - as the earlier bros pioneered the use of talking movies and the gramophone record player, the new brethren have set themselves up in msn chatrooms and 'get a handle' such as Joachin, pretend to be leading a 'lively bible discussion' and instead, cross-examine and abuse 'innocent' visitors (yes, that was me he was rude to)
what easier and more pleasant way could there be to fill up your monthly report - no going out in the cold or knocking on scummy doors with snotty nosed kids peeking through them - ok so you don't place many magazines, but hey - shove them in the bin and lie about that too ...
so, young comf, does this maybe explain why you haven't been visited yet ?

EX-JW Project Announcement
by Mindchild inwhat may at first glance seem like a fantasy, the ex-dub island of refuge project is for real.
simply put, several friends on this network have decided to throw their resources together to create a better life for themselves by buying a privately owned tropical island, making a community, developing employment for all, and enjoying great fellowship while living in this aposta fiesta paradise.. a few weeks ago, i started a lighthearted thread entitled, would you like to live on gilligans island?.

did any of you read the entire bible once...?
by Richie injust wanted to know if any of you have read the entire bible?
- i remember that it was mentioned in the congregation many times that this would be a requirement that we were to read the bible in its totality at least once and especially as elders!.
i myself never had the time (or energy) to read the scriptures from cover to cover.

Apostate overseers visit
by sleepy inhello i've been sent from botchtower headquaters to see how the flock of apostate are digressing spiritualy.. as we all know it is important to be inactive in the service and meetings and i see that many of you are doing well.. it can be hard though , sometimes when we come home from work tiered it is all too easy to get washed and changed and to rush of to a meeting without stoping to eat.. but without trust in the holyspirit you can become stong and my be able to get into the habit of watching tv or maybe even going to the pub.. even if you can do a little tv watching a day instead of reading the watchtower and awake it will help.. in order to combat the desires of the spirit we must replace them with more apostate things.i notice that some of you have not been active on the internet recently.. this is not good for your progress.. on my next visit i would like to see more non attendance at meetings less studying and more engagment in materialistic pursuits.. oh and some of you have been reporting your hours, please consider the relevent material as whether this is unscriptual or not.. with warm love and apostate greetings ,.

2/3 of all JW's are women and what it implies
by Mindchild ina few weeks back, kinsman posted a link about a recent survey of religion in america which showed that 68% of all jehovah's witnesses were female, which is the highest ratio of women to men in any religion in the usa.. i believe the reason for this unbalance in adherents in favor of women comes down to two fundamental reasons.
the first is shunning and the second is the appeal of the "family type atmosphere" that the witnesses pretend to offer.. we all know the power of shunning keeps a lot of people trapped inside the collective, and just due to the fact that women are enculturated more with having emotional bonds with others, makes it a bit tougher to leave family and friends behind.
this doesn't mean that men don't suffer emotionally, but the general trend is more for men to suppress their feelings and damn the emotional torpedoes and go full speed ahead out of the bad dream.. this suggests to me, that if there is a major modification of the shunning policy, the largest exodus will be in the female ranks.

nah - i reckon it's too comfy for ladies in the kh ...
they dun have to prepare and deliver talks (except mini soap operas)
they dun have to be reader at the watchtower study ... or the book study
they dun have to take the mic and stand over sweat infested bodies struggling to string together a coherant sentence in reply to the inane questions in the publications
and this is the biggie - they dun have to ever say a blessing at any of the meets - i woulda done anything to avoid it - used to gently disturb one of the children so's i could go outside and not be available at the opportune time ...
