My wife who was a JW divorced me. I moved to another area and I got to joking around with a sister about, If I was not in the situation I would like to take you to lunch (since I was not scripturally free I was not allowed to be out with a sister even on friendly terms). The sisters mention it to the elders , who then took it upon themselves to not let me pray before the congregation. However I only found out about it when I ask an elder why I had not be called on to pray in the congregation. To which I said to the elders, how come one of the elders did not come to me and ask me my side of the story. To which he did not reply. Of course as far as I am concerned they can keep their privileges.(this happen several years ago)

Did You "Wait On Jehovah" & Get Disappointed?
by minimus inthe watchtower's cure-all for any injustice or question is to "wait on jehovah".
have you had any experience showing that "waiting on jehovah" is useless??
?

The wait on Jehovah expression is the same expression as the Catholics using it is a mystery. The expression creates laziness, as I see it yes somethings are out of our control and truly will take God to fix them, but somethings are in our control if I do not have a job and I get a job which may cause me to miss some of my meetings, I do not believe Jehovah would want me to wait for the perfect job and let my family suffer. However what a person could do is take this job and then activetly look for another one so that they could start making all of their meetings again.

Latest WT study article - preparation for upcoming new light?
by truth_about_the_truth in.
the latest wt study article seemed like an article to prep the masses for 'new light' to be revealed in the very near future.. i have never seen an article like this one where they summarized their 'flashes of light' in their history in this manner and bombarded the minds with the need to accept all and any change within the org.. it could be for the purpose of getting the rank and file to accept a pretty big change or a series of big changes very soon.. what do you think?
what do you think it'll be?.

Generally it is mention at the Assembley -- sometimes it is a full talk about the issue at the assembly or just a brief mention and then a watchtower article come out that was based on the talk or completely explaining the new doctrine. The full explanation of the generation change was done in a watchtower study article.

To all Active JW's on the board
by UNCLEAR inas you are all aware i am new to the board, this is my third topic post.
since i have come online and expressed some concerns regarding docturnal issues, i have been pm'd by several active jw's on the board pretending to have concerns also but then sending pm's to "trust in the congregation and jevovah", "talk to the elders about your concerns" and "stick close to the congregation".
i would like to make this known loud and clear -

But still mind you was in good standing and I was told if I divorce him I would lose good standing
I will tell my story one day, but I will just say this briefly. I was married to a witness once and she left and then divorced me on unscriptural grounds(This after I had forgiving her of adultery about 5 years early) I found out she decided to start coming back to the meeting. When I said to the brothers, is she still in good standing the scripture he quoted to me was "not all things are lawful and not all things are advantages". Meaning there was nothing they could do to her. However if I on the other hand had left her and divorce her, then I could not be used in the congregation. One day I will tell the story of the hoops they made me go through to prove my scriptural freedom.

"Evil Slave" or Apostate which term do you prefer used on ex-JW's?
by booker-t ini hate both terms to describe ex-jws.
i know most people say "apostate" when they refer to an ex-jw that is an opposer now but some will say "so and so" is an "evil slave" now.
evil slave sounds so "boogie man under the bed" that i just laugh when i hear the term.

I see my self as neither -- for instance if some one could say the Apostle had a problem with racism -- would this make them an Apostate? WE all know how he did not want to eat with the gentile friends when the Jewish friends were around. So we say that the society has error on things..were is this being an Apostate? Am I speaking out against some one or something, when it is the truth?

Hi
by UNCLEAR inthis obviously is my first post, i actually feel like i may be sick but i felt compelled to post.
only if to just say hello.. my life has been anything but boring, pioneered for years, brought several family members into "the truth", and find myself unable to have studies anylonger because i feel unsure about the stand i have taken all these years.. i was previously married, my husband left the organization for various reason, we divorced and i recently remarried another brother, he is a wonderful man and husband, i care for him deeply we and had been friends for 15 years.
i also have a son from my first marriage who is 4, he is the love of my life, recently my son had an opertion that could require a blook transfusion and to be honest i could never deny him that.

Unclear -- take your time you do not have to make your decision on things all at once. I still attend meetings, but I also realize that we should follow bible principles. I will not let the society tell me what to do if it can not be proven from the bible. Remember in the end it is Jehovah who will detemine who he wants to save. It is not in mans hands. Do you research on things and you will see that a lot of things are not as they should be.

This would be a good Question from readers about Judicial Committees
by scrubmaster in.
this would be a good questions from readers.......having read several scriptures about how the judges heard judicial case in the public court yard..so that all would see that true justice was served and know why a person was being stoned if it should come to type of punishment...what scriptural bases does the society have for conducting judicial cases in secret and then expect everyone to shun(stone) some one with out knowing what the crime was.
i would love so see what scriptures if any they could come up with.

" questions made up by the writers"
I never thought about that one -- that would make a lot of sense while nothing that could not be explained would end up in the questions from readers. Or at least nothing to controversial.

What I mention to my wife is that is is funny how the watchtower did not mention some other incorrect things -- such as not being able to take organ transplants and then it was okay to take organ transplants and then how things change with the word porneia and who people who had spouses who had relations with animals are now allow to divorce and get married. Or how people were condemned to having oral sex and how that has now changed. Of course as we all know this is probably preparing us for some new light

Anyone interested in a new Elder Video?
by SickofLies inok here's the plan: i am planning on writing the elders a letter stating my concerns over issues such as 607 bce, un, their de-emphsis on jesus.
i am a major techo freak, i have spy camaras with color and sound, webcams, a cell phone with 512mb of memory that can take video's with sound and high quality tape recorders.
i am having car troubles right now, so the elders are going to come over to my house to meet.
