Do you ever feel like a member of the XJW cult??
by DIM inwhat i specifically mean, is, sometimes do you feel frustrated that you are bound to xjw things / topics / issues?
once an xjw, always an anti jw type thing?
since leaving the organization in 2002 i've done a pretty good job of moving on, making "worldy" friends, met up w/ some wonderful xjw's (princess and family), and really don't think too much about how much pain jw's have caused me.....but every now and then i find myself compelled to read this board for hours...look up new teachings that make no sense......so in a way i feel forever bound to the xjw world....which i'm not sure is a good thing or a bad thing.

I have been out for about a couple years and for me it is all about learning about what makes the org tick and the help from the posters who have been there. Seeing that we are not alone in the pain that we feel from loved ones in the org who now shun us.

ANWT: The neighborly Samaritan
by No Apologies inon this, the first day of 2003, i am pleased to announce the existence of the apostate new world translation commitee.
this anonymous group of devoted apostate men has been formed to produce a modern language apostate new world translation of the holy scriptures.
some may ask, why a new translation?

Guys, Do you need to be on top?
by Maverick inon another topic i wrote about spoiling my daughter.
some of the comments got off into a side topic about getting a submissive "non american" wife.
by this i assume these posters were referring to non white women of other cultures.

Isn't God missing the devil?
by Narkissos insome time ago i started a (short) thread entitled ?how important is the devil to god?
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/63454/1.ashx
i?d like to address the same question from a slightly different angle.

Women: Know Your Place
by Pleasuredome inhere's some good sound advice for the modern-day lady of the house, from our old friend, mr chumley-warner.have dinner ready.
plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready, on time for his return.
this is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs.

The "tiring out" of chronology
by RunningMan inmuch has been said on this forum about the reasons for the jw lack of growth in western lands.
numerous explanations have been put forward for this and for the future prospects of the organization.
but, above all else, i believe that there is one overriding reason behind it all.

A whole month of no meetings or field service!
by eyeslice ini have really struggled over the past nearly three years with my loyaties and how i view the religion i was brought up in.
however, 2004 has seen a turn around and i have not been to a meeting nor have i been out in field service for a whole month.
it is still strange and difficult though.

I left two years ago and narry hardly a word since I left. Like Sassy said it shows the lack of love that one would expect to find and does make it easier to leave and stay out when you think about that.

It just doesn't add up
by micheal in.
was there any particular event, teaching, experience where it all came together for you when you really questioned the "truth", or believed it wasn't it couldn't be god's organization?.
when did you realize and say to yourself, this just doesn't add up?

It was the blood doctrine that made me question and later talk with the brothers about it.
The rest is history.
