You should have taken the manager with you and give a free demonstration. What would he have done, turn hypocritical TWICE, to you and the manager? One way or the other his true colors would have shown.

Was I a coward?
by DanTheMan inright before i disassociated myself last march, i sent an email to quite a number of jw's that contained only a link to an "apostate" website that had been instrumental in my seeing the the truth about the wt.. well, nobody responded to it except for one person, a guy who i hadn't had any contact with my last year in.
he started out with "yikes, do you know i'm disfellowshipped?
" he then went on for several paragraphs defending the org, how loving the brothers were when they disfellowshipped him .

What does "having problems" mean in JWland?
by pennycandy ini'm off to visit my jw family for the weekend.
i've been fading for about five years, so our visits are always kinda like walking in a minefield.
anyway, i've been thinking about my friend r. r and i met and started studying in 7th grade and she is the only person i can say i directly "brought" into the org.

You guys brought back some interesting memories about movies. When my older brother worked as usher in a theatre, my other brothers and I would only pay '8 cents' to see two featured movies, coming attractions, newsreel and two cartoons! This price later was boosted to 25 cents! The good old days, believe it not, 8 cents was money. This was in the early fifties. Bad movies then, hmmmmmm.

Legislation will help victims sue offenders

Correct me if I'm wrong. I find this legislation more in tune to protect the Churches and charitable organizations from being sued more then Twenty thousand dollars.
What lawyer wants to make only Six thousand dollars on molestation cases? With all the time and effort with this legislation, who benefits? More frustration for the victims.
Do we have any reports from the Southern States that this type of legislation is working and encouraging?

do you suppose those miffed by that fact do not know how the filing of an amicus brief works and its purpose?

Ah, the org's view is, "...prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves." Adopting this view their conscious is clean. They have to scripturally cover their tracks.

Why Do You or Don't You Believe In The Bible?
by minimus indo you believe in the bible just because you were raised to believe?
are you sure it's "believable"?
.....have you convinced yourself the bible is just another book?

It would interest me to have someone duplicate a book like the Bible and have it translated in as many languages and be a great seller.
If the Bible is the biggest hoax of all time, what does it say about mankind?
The Federal Reserve System is one of the biggest hoaxes going since 1913, where's the outcry?
Just thinking out loud.

Reflect on this scripture, "Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith."
Could this be the reason why so many witnesses don't have Jehovah's blessings because they don't practice what they preach?
Romans 2:21, "...do you, the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself?"

Ozzie, we have medi-vans in our community, very convenient. How about suggesting this to your local reps?
