  Scriptural Support Fo Disfellowshipping?

  do the witnesses teach that god doesn't here a disfellowshipped person's prayers?

  if so what scriptures do they use to support such an idea?.

  is there any scriptures in the 4 gospels, matthew, mark luke or john, that the witnesses use to support disfellowshipping and shunning?

  Yes, I agree.

  The disfellowship and exocommunication of Churches is mainly based on the belief that Jesus broke the bread only after Judas left the room.

  From Matthew, Mark and Luke it seems Judas was present. In John 13:30, Judas left the room straight after Jesus gave him the morsel. However, the account of the breaking of the bread is not present in John. The problem lies in the translation of John 13:2, in KJV it reads "And Supper being ended, ..." and in NWT it reads "So while the evening meal was on going"

  Did Jesus forgave Judas? Did Judas partake the Lord's Evening meal??

  Hi swalker,

  The convenant mentioned in Luke 22:29 is the same promised he made to the apostles in Mat 19:28, and like you said it is part of Jesus talk to settle the "Who is the greatest dispute". This is not the NEW convenant.

  1 Cor 11:26, "For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes"

  All JW shouldn't partake because according to them Jesus returned in 1914.

  hey folks, i started a thread like this on another forum....... i have heard many experiences from people who claim to have had intimate experiences with demons and the like.

  most of it i easily discard as emotionally unbalanced physco-drama, and for good reason.

  however i have heard much on this *ouija* board stuff......."ohh, it is freaky" kinda talk.

  I am one of the very few unlucky ones who has experiences with demons. My parents took me to see monks after monks and things gone from bad to worse when the monks asked me to speak to them. These bad experiences all came to a fullstop when I had a dream about Jesus and he told me I need to look for a KEY and that key is the bible.

  And if you ever dreamt about a ghost, don't run away, instead you turn around and give the ghost a big HUG and they will never disturb you again.

  must say, that the arguments this site uses to refute the paedophile scandle are so weak, i wonder why they bothered.

  lets hope that this is not the opinion of the average jehovahs dimwit.

  I have a very interesting conversation about this topic with an elder two days ago. Apparently, he brought this topic up during our discussion about apostates. Not many JW are that open minded to talk about apostates.

  He don't harbour pedophiliacs and he had reported two incidence to the police.

  Not all JW harbour pedophiliacs.

  If you find some let me know. You probably won't find what you are looking. The deceptions are in the WT. Why do you think JW never discusses these issues in the meetings?? I suggest you examine thoroughly all the references in the WT and you will see the TRUTH, and use a copy of KJV bible as a guide.

  It miss quote experts in their respective fields.

  I am glad you do not wish to become a Jehovah Witness. Always remember this, none of JW are properly baptised because they are baptised in the name of the father, the son and the active force; they don't partake in the Lord's Evening meal; and they don't believe in Jesus bodily resurrection.

  The freedom to remarry thing, he did mention that. He went to the elders and asked them what their views were on marrying a non-witness. They said that they would not prefer it, but that I would be welcome to attend with him and I would not be judged.

  The elders he spoke to will not judge you but the other witnesses will judge you.

  Yes, do pray for him. I will pray for you also and hope that you will find someone better.

  Passing the time at JW Assemblies

  love_truth, in describing the utter dullness of jw assemblies and conventions, just gave me an interesting idea for a thread.

  what were some of the ways you tried to make the hours pass?

  some of mine: looking at the interesting refracting patterns the arena floodlights made on my eyeglasses when looking thru them at an angle.looking for people i knew from my congregation and others in the mass of people in the arena.counting the number of people leaving the section to go to the bathroompractice writing people's names in elvish scripthaving a conversation with friends a row behind me by passing notes back and forthseeing how many pages of my bible stick together when i slam a wad of gum in between its pages.. what else?
