there can be an argument about the watchtowers proposal for the use of chaperons.

however, admittedly it seems impractical and resisted in modern western civilization.

The WTS view on all things sexual is unhealthy. I often thought this view originated with the patriachal society of the near east in which female virginity was prized for it

made daughters marrriageable; and a marriageable daughter was valueable to the OWNER, dear old Dad. This fits hand in glove with the Levitical Law of marrying any virgin that a man takes and PAYING the father the bride price. It was more a matter of economics and property and pride.

Waiting until one is ready for sex, when one has some maturity, say out of high school at least, is not a bad idea. I think it is a good idea. Punishment, however, WTS style

is definitely more detrimental then the failing of the human of the human being.

Also, what of two grwon people, both either widowed or divorced who simply do not want the tether of marriage but enjoy the company of one another and the occasional

romp. I think that is best left to the individual. I say it is all about control over women .

congregation behind in their donation !!!

recently at a theo night, it was mentioned that the cong was behind in their donation to the society and it was specifically mentioned that the mags and books cost $$4 and the donations weren't even with the amount of mags and books being requested.

does this not show that the society is still after the congregations for the money for "free" mags and books?

what a bunch of hyprocrites.

Now that I am mentally free, I see the dishonesty and cunning in their quest for money. Always more and more and more money. What do they do with the MONEY? Who is keeping the MONEY? Where is the MONEY?

Glaring contradiction between 1995 new light and Society's authority as FDS

in the 15 october 1995 watchtower the society brought out 'new light' that although christ sat down as king in 1914, but he did not sit down on his 'glorious throne' mentioned at matt 25: 31 in that year.

i cant understand why the society bothered to make this change in 1995?

this change was in some ways more damaging to them than the generation change, because the society essentially sawed off the branch they were sitting on by announcing this 1995 new light.

When I was a freshmen in high school I discovered the secret to a true and succesful bullshit artist was neither that he BELIEVED his own bullshit or could keep his bullshit straight, but that he could say it unabashedly, unapologetically, and makes others feel guilty for even questioning him.

The WTS is truely the world's greatest bullshit artist. I would call it chutzpah if it were not so tragic and evil. These people are evil, man. If you're a lurker--- RUN!!!!

Weird things relating to females at the KH

with all the news concerning the child abuse lawsuits, and from reading many comments concerning the wts' view of women, i started remembering lots of little things that were brought up at my kh in the many years i attended.

i don't remember anything pertaining to the brothers.

but, there were things brought up from the platform that just seem ridiculous.

I gave a talk on dress and grooming once and brought up the issue of a hem line. I asked the congo what elder they wanted stationed at the front door with a tape measure in hand

to measure skirt lengths. The sisters loved the talk. The elders hated it. They didn't bother the "borderline" sisters after that. God I loved sticking it to those self righteous dumbasses!

The Whole JW Judicial System Is Flawed!

i'll tell you why i think so.. your opinions on this subject are welcomed.. nothing in the bible shows a set-up like the one the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses uses.

where in the bible is a "judicial committee" ever mentioned??

or "chairman of the committee"?

One side of my family is Catholic and my Mom always harped on their having to confess their sins to a priest. That was so obviously a sign of Satan's influence!!!

Well, as a kid with no sins to confess (until I started spanking the monkey) I went along with this. In time I learned that JW's were supposed to confess their sins, too---

but instead of just one guy, they had to confess to three guys! And then if you were really bad, shit! The WHOLE congo learned you were bad, whereas the priest kept it

a secret.

So, I should never have gotten baptized. I should have let my teenage brain prevail.

On Drawn Blood

there is a discussion on another board that has to do with blood that has been drawn, and the poster said this:.

***according to the october 15, 2000 watchtower jw's are allowed to have any amount of blood completely removed from their body, stored, taken to a lab, treated in some manner, and then later transfused back into their veins as long as the procedure is done within a single hospital stay.

several of these approved procedures are described in the november 2006 kingdom ministry.. it is no longer true to say that jw's abstain from transfusions of whole blood, white cells, red cells, plasma or platelets because they can accept any and all of these in autologous form so long as the procedure of "removal / reuse" is done within a single hospital stay.

Will the WTS ever show a decrease in publishers?

the world wide jw publishers increased by only 1.6% in recent years, so it is only a matter of time until the wts will have to start showing a decrease in publishers.

here are some reasons why.

1. many young jw are 'rebellng' against wts authority and are becoming just like mini satans according to a recent wt article.

Whatever the net increase may be over time hides the fundamental number:TURNOVER

How many actually STAY a JW for a lifetime? That compared to Baptists, Catholics, Mormons, etc....

More and more are leaving. In time this cannot but help to create a critical mass of Ex-JW's that will far outnumber JW's.
