This is a non-religious question but I have always wondered why "so called" straight hetero women are always looking at or talking about another women' breast or breastsize. You would never hear me or see me looking at or talking about another man's privates so I am curious ladies what gives. I work with several married straight women and this is all I hear from them. Is it jealousy or what?

"They beat their former slaves" is this a fulfillment of the scripture
by booker-t ini must admit i have never laughed so long in my life until i was "talking" to my ministerial servant (almost elder) brother the other day in the supermarket.
mind you this is the same brother that cut me off 12 years ago when i left jw's.
he was by himself this time the last time he went off on me in front of his wife and children calling me "apostate" and everything but the son of god.

Mind you this is the same brother that cut me off 12 years ago when I left JW's. He was by himself this time the last time he went off on me in front of his wife and children calling me "apostate" and everything but the Son of God. He was actually cordial to me this time around. He said that the family truly misses me and longs for me to come back to JW's. I think if I hear another JW tell me to come back I am going to "vomit". I told him forget about me coming back to JW's and he kept saying "The WT has apologized for all its mistakes" therefore we are not false prophets because we admit to our mistakes". Then I let him have it with the UN scandal ( he was completely unaware of this scandal but passed it off as a fulfillment of the scripture where it says that "they beat their former slaves" meaning that apostates are fulfilling this scripture by attacking JW's. He also said that any lies on television or in books and magazines by ex-jws is also fulfilling the prophecy because apostates want to stop JW's from going door to door and they have not hindered the work in all of the 120 years the WT society has been preaching from door to door. He mentioned that you don't see ex-Catholics, or ex-Bacs(born-again christians) or ex-Jews, or ex-religions picketing and attacking their former church but only ex-JW's. So he said he loves it when apostates fulfill this prophecies because he knows that JW's are indeed the true religion. JW's can make any scripture suit their purposes.

Do you think that Armaggeddon is "near" or many, many years away?
by booker-t ini am 40 years old and i have been hearing the same old song by jw's "armaggeddon is around the corner" since i was a toddler.
it has to come to their minds that how long are they going to keep saying that armaggeddon is "near" or "around the corner"?
or they eventually going to quit believing in this fantasy and look at reality?

I love reading your comments and opinions?

I was very naive as a JW child and young adult growing up. I thought JW were perfect especially JW elders. I did whatever they said because I thought they were appointed by Jehovah and Jesus. One day I must have been around 12 or 13 and I went into the back of the KH to get my book that I had left there and when I opened the door a married elder was kissing a pioneer sister that definitely was not his wife. I almost passed out because I was so shocked. I tried to explain it away in my head that maybe it was a "friendship" kiss. But they were kissing in the mouth so that theory went out of the window. I debated for months about what to do should I "tattle" on the elder and pioneer or not? He was one of my favorite elders because he was kinda of young and I could relate to him the other 3 elders in my hall were elderly. After I finally got enough nerve to "tattle" This elder was put on "public reproof" and his position taken away from him. Later on I heard that he was "disfellowshipped" and divorced. Believe it or not I ran into this elder last year and it has been about 20 years that I last saw him. He did not know that I was "disassociated" and no longer one of JW's and had to nerve to try and talk to me about Jehovah. I sarcastically asked him "How is Sister so and so(his wife)? And he fumbled for a minute and said or we are no longer married I am married to sister so and now(new wife). We talked for about 30 minutes even though I told him I was no longer one of JW's. He tried to encourage me to come back. I was just wonder from JW women out there who were elder's wives did your husband have an affair with another JW women in the congo? I cannot believe how naive I was growing up.

Can true Christianity have some false prophets and still be true Christians
by booker-t ini know this sounds like a "totally" stupid question and i don't mean to offend religious people but i was talking to two jw's elders the other day at my apartment.
they came by even though they know i am disassocated and don't want to go back to the wt.
they think they can convince me that they are the truth and i would go back.

I know this sounds like a "totally" stupid question and I don't mean to offend Religious people but I was talking to two JW's elders the other day at my apartment. They came by even though they know I am disassocated and don't want to go back to the WT. They think they can convince me that they are the truth and I would go back. The main thing that I have a problem with are the many "false prophecies" JW's have given over the years. The elders response have been that even Jesus' disciples and the apostles had many "wrong" expectations and teachings but the bible does not classify them with the false prophets. Examples that they generally bring up are when Nathan the prophet told King David to build the temple for worship but Jehovah did not want David to build the temple JW's argue that Nathan the prophet gave "false" information to a servant of God but yet the bible shows that Jehovah still considered Nathan a prophet and a servant even though Nathan was "wrong" and could have been considered a "false prophet" by the other pre-christian believers. The elder kept asking me Was a prophet wrong? And my answer was "yes" then the elder comparing JW's to Nathan said "you see if Jehovah could still use Nathan after a "prophetic" error than he can still use JW's after their prophetic errors such as 1925, 1975 etc; The next example the elder brought up was Jonah and the nivites. Jonah said "40 days" that they had left and nothing happened after the 40 days so Jonah gave some information that was "wrong" but Jehovah continued to use Jonah the same way he continues to use JW's today. The elders main point is that Jehovah does not expect his servants to be 100% right because he knows his people are human and subject to human error but he looks at the heart and does not judge the same way human beings judge and expect a 100% out of humans. Another example the elder brought up was the case with Peter telling the other apostles and chirstians that someone was to die right then and there because he misunderstood Jesus' words. Peter was wrong not Jesus but Jesus continued to use Peter even though Peter started a falsehood that continued after Peter and Jesus was dead and in the grave. This falsehood continued even when John wrote the 1st and 2nd and 3rd books of St. John. But we still consider Peter one of the Saints and put trust in his bible books. The elder hammered away at the fact that nobody dead right then and there like Peter had thought and if BAC(born-again christians) today want to condemn JW's as false prophets then they would have to condemn Peter, Nathan, Jonah as false prophets. This elder is one of the sharpest elders I have ever met. He says that born-again christians run from him when they see him coming because they can never answer his questions. He told me that he has gotten several top-notch born-agains to admit Peter, Jonah and Nathan the prophet would be considered "false prophets" if we read Deut 18:20-22. So the elder's point is that Born-agains have "double standards" when it comes to Christians and JW's. It is alright for Christians to do wrong things but JW's have to be 100% are they are false prophets.Another example the elder brought up is that St. Paul thought the kingdom of God was going to happen in his life time according to reading all of Thessolonians but here we are 2000 yrs later and what Paul thought surely did not come to pass and Paul was a prophet of Jehovah. So the elder ask was Paul a false prophet? This point really causes born-agains to crumble because they never can answer it the elder was telling me. So posters out there Can true Christians have false prophets and still be true Christians?

Do you JW's believe that during the 1000 yr reign that all the dead will JW
by booker-t ini was wondering especially from some of the old timers out there jw's or ex-jw's that really understand the jw's concept of the reserrected dead during the 1000 reign of jesus christ.
do they believe that the people brought back from the dead will have to convert to jw's in order to live on for eternity?
i know this sounds like a stupid question but i was talking to a jw's elder the other day and he told me that people like my grandmother who was a "devout born-again baptist" would have to study and become a jw's in the 1000 year reign before she could enter into paradise.

I was totally confused because I always thought that JW's believed that people who died non-JW's would not have to study what JW's are teaching now because according to them there will be new heavens and new earth and I always thought "new teachings" from Jesus and Jehovah for all of JW's to believe in. If my grandmother is reserrected and has to learn what Jehovah's Witnesses are teaching now wouldn't alot of stuff be wrong? They don't believe in the "generation of 1914" anymore they don't believe in the goats and sheep being seperated before Armaggeddon anymore, so what is it that my grandmother if she is reserrected into the 1000 year reign would have to learn. I know they feel that all of the churches will be destroyed including my grandma's baptist church so with no baptist churches around would she have to go into the kingdom halls? I thought that JW's believed that the kingdom halls would perish also because the "beast of revelations" would attack all religions including JW's. And that JW's would have to rely on Jehovah and Jesus and their knowlege to survive into the new system. Please someone out there explain this to me I have been away from JW's for so long I don't know what they teach anymore.

What are JW's going to do with their "outdated" Rev book and Dan proph book
by booker-t ini was just wondering what is going to happen when the leaders at wt headquaters see that the revelation grand climax book and the pay attention to daniel's prophecies book all prove false.
are they going to rewrite both books and call it "new light" and somehow say that they were wrong about the beast of revelation being the un and now the un will be considered holy?
are jw's going to have to praise the un as from jehovah and jesus?

What are some of your thoughts on this subject?

Disfellowshipping or Disassociation what is the "difference"?
by booker-t ini know this may sound like a dumb question but fellow ex-jws out there what is the difference between being disfellowshipped or being disassociated?
why do the watchtower have two classes of ex-jws?
i have really never understood the difference.

I know this may sound like a dumb question but fellow ex-jws out there what is the difference between being Disfellowshipped or being Disassociated? Why do the Watchtower have two classes of ex-jws? I have really never understood the difference. I personally DA'd myself but I am treated like poison by my family and fomer JW friends. My teenage niece was Disfellowshipped recently but my brother still allows her to live in his home. I know of JWs that have told their DF'd children to leave their homes when their kids were "kicked out" So I am just trying to figure out why would the WT have two classes of ex-jws?

Without the "bodily reserrection of Jesus" there goes the "Trinity"
by booker-t inthe other day i ran into a jw elder that i knew many years ago as a teenager when i was a "devout" jw and he who has been a "devout" jw for over 40 years started to debate with me.
i tried to avoid him because i have basically stopped debating with jw's on the bible but since we both were at the "dmv" there was a long waiting period.
the elder started on the "trinity" doctrine and said that "born-again christians" hold onto the "bodily reserrection of jesus" doctrine not because they believe it but because they use it as a"magic wand" whenever that cannot answer scriptures that show jesus is less than the father.

The other day I ran into a JW elder that I knew many years ago as a teenager when I was a "devout" JW and he who has been a "devout" JW for over 40 years started to debate with me. He said that BAC(born-again christians) will hold onto this ridiculous doctrine even when the absurdity of it is revealed just to have a loophole when that can't answer scriptures that disprove the trinity. For example the elder mentioned that when you asked a born-again christian how can Jesus have a God over him and at the same time be God BACs will scream out "Jesus is speaking in his human nature" and the born-again feels that this immediately gets them off the hook with the scripture at John 20:17 where Jesus is saying "My God" about Jehovah after he retured to heaven. The elder said that if Jesus and Jehovah are equal to each other there is no way Jesus could call Jehovah "My God" without there being two Gods. The elder gave me an analogy and said that all the apostles could use the same argument if they are in a body of flesh and bone right now in heaven. How would believers be able to distinguish Jehovah being greater than the Apostle Paul if Paul is in his human nature right now in heaven? Also if we are going to have the "same" body in heaven than people would be able to have sexual relations in heaven because we would have the same body. The elder said that born-agains are really preaching Mormon doctrine when they try and use the "bodily reserrection of Jesus" doctrine. He also said that how could the 144,000 be priest and kings with Christ but not with the Holy Ghost if Jesus and the Holy Ghost are equal? The Holy Ghost is hardly mentioned in the book of revelations which would be stupid if there was a third divine person. Salvation we owe to the one on the throne and to the Lamb but nowhere is the Holy Ghost mentioned which again would make no sense if Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Ghost were 3 in 1.Believers have the name of the father and of the son but nowhere in Rev 14:1 is the name of the Holy Ghost mentioned being on the foreheads of believers. What are your thoughts on the "bodily reserrection doctrine of Jesus" is it just a loophole for BACs to avoid scripture that disprove the "trinity"?
