Don't these people have any limits somewhere, this is really shameful apart from being pointless.
It surely has to be the demonic spirit of babylon the great at work here.
Perhaps your granny could have been more discreet and not talk to her when potential informers were around. Or do they have spies everywhere?

in about fifty-two minutes time...
by zaphod in...my gran, who has been a jw since the 1950's will be reproved publicly for speaking to her grand-daughter who is disfellowshipped.
she is 77 years old and i am worried that it will be the death of her.
the"truth" has been her life for nearly fifty years and she is still a regular publisher.. if she continues to commit this gross sin she will be disfellowshipped.. her daughter and son in law are to be disfellowshipped for the terrible sin of allowing their daughter to live under their roof since she left her husband.

ostensibly, on living as a christian and being self sacrificing.
we know that you're going to college and we don't want you to.

What exactly is the sister Mahoney story?
That the WTS is a very selfish entity is well known that's why their followers don't really care they never saw the good example from above, no charity works for example a field where so much could be done by a fabulously rich, multi billionaire corporation. Instead they are always begging for more for themseves, not for the poor part of the loyal brotherhood.
They don't even seem to have a concept for charitable works, do they know at all what the word means? -

Do those that shun us not love us?
by logansrun init is a mistake for former jehovah's witnesses to think that just because they are shunned by friends and family, they are no longer loved.
isn't shunning a horrible experience, one borne from twisted psychological reasoning?
mandated shunning from a powerful and misguided religious organization is a great sin against both the person shunned and those who are obliged, yes obliged, to shun them.

I think that we also have here the question that most people get expelled and shunned in an unbiblical way, first those that criticise the petty minded leadership then those who are expeled for all sorts of really silly things like voting, smoking, celebating birthdays . Shouldn't the JWs know deep down that this sort of behaviour is wrong?

For teenagers to have to suppress their sexual urges has to be one of the most difficult of things in life, that article shows how crude and anachronistic they are, who wrote it anyway Mr Franz? It is calculated to degrade teenage girls apart from being puritanical.

Once more we see they live in their own world they apply to themselves a different set of rules than the R & F who are too lowly to come under these much lighter and easier laws.
It's a shame that no GB member ever needed a blood transfusion.

Any news articles on refusing organ transplant pre-1980?
by ithinkisee in.
i was wondering if anyone had any articles that could be deemed non-apostate to the potential reader of someone who refused an organ transplant prior to 1980 that died.. i found some references to people on ajwrb.org, but i feel that won't carry enough weight.
a news article would really help further my case and would lessen the "apostate" suspicion on me .... thanks in advance for any help on this front .... .

Is there any reliable source that gives a good approximate number of those that died through this policy? Or even the blood policy which surely caused thousands of needless deaths.

FDS and deception/exploitation of dubs
by greendawn inif a dub asked you to give him some instances where the faithful and discreet slave ie their leadership has committed shameless and blatant acts of deception and manipulation on them, what would you choose to open his eyes to the realities of this issue?

Another strange thing is that they used Greber a spiritistic medium to help them translate their Bible, they later falsely denied that they knew that Greber was using the spirits beyond (demons) for his work.
It is also interesting that Rutherford was functioning in a similar way making himself a channel for the knowledge transmitted by, supposedly, God's angels the same claim that Greber made. In both cases they were in fact channelling demonic influences and hence the fact that the WTS continues to be under the same intense demonic influences to this day.
Russell also had similarly relaxed views about the subject even promoting a book that contained the knowledge transmitted to a woman medium by a fallen angel.
This org always had one foot in Christainity, LOL, and one in a demon infested occultism. Could that be the fundamental evil that people are facing here, those who remain in and those that left?

Frightening experiences
by greendawn inmy most frightening experience occured about 12 years as i was driving in a safari park with wild animals like tigers around.
there was suddenly a very loud explosion under the bonnet and that really frightened me and my two passengers, if there is to be a fire what do we do with tigers outside?
fortunately it soon became clear that there was no fire only a lot steam came gushing out, the cooling system had over heated and a pipe got burst asunder .

ES, only one experience with a certain individual who was working with me in a supermarket where we were managers with me above him in status, he was quite dishonest because many times he tried to take credit for things that I was doing and eventually began accusing me that I was being very nasty and unfair to him claiming his achievements as my own or ignoring them. But who was claiming whose work? Yes I'd give him credit for his achievements (and for what they were worth) but not for mine.
The slimy sneak was nice when I got him the job but once he settled down well after a couple of years he began undermining me with some viciousness. There was a lot of resentment and aggravation but eventually he left.

I am listening too.
No I never did but I know another guy who did, he was not eccentric he was a very moral person, a good christian, but he didn't fulfill the JW ideals, he didn't attend meetings always, refused to give in fs time slips, did only street witnessing. Because of not obeying these man made rules the dubs refused to give him any recognition, he simply could not be a good brother.
