Frankie I think Bethelites or not the time of the GB and the WTS is limited because the accumulation of crimes against their followers is fast reaching the critical point and also I am sure they are in a state of bewilderment, right now they know their doctrines are completely wrong but they are simply unable to change them so they keep cajoling and intimitating their members to believe in what they know are lies. I give them 10-15 years before they become nothing.
Also note they no longer have any high power charismatic leaders/writers after Fr. Franz.

i mean think of how many bethelites have interent access and know the gb are tyrants, but are stuck there at bethel because they have no money and no place to turn because they have been there for many years.. i think many gbs purposely keeps to themselves now a days, they probably should even think seriously of a body guard even while at bethel.. have you notice the wt doesn't give any advance notice when a gb will be speaking at conventions anymore, could it be that they are worried that some father or other family member who lost a child through thier no blood policy, finds out throught the internet that the gb are phoneies and now blames the gb for the loss of life.
think of how dangerous it would be to give advanced notice when so and so gb member would be giving a convention talk.

Thanks for explaining evil force in the UK the age limit for buying alcohol is 18 and no one really cares if 15-17 year olds drink some alcohol that their older friends (of 18+)will buy for them once they provide the money for it. A minimum age of 21 for alcohol sounds ridiculous to us, that you can be 20 plus and unable to buy beer at a pub or shop. I remember most university students (mainly 18-22 y.o.)used to drink their heads off every Friday/Saturday night at pubs or parties.
As for the beer leading to fornication story it's just bizarre what a prick to try and dump his guilt on you in this devious way. -

In my view man needs to believe in a superior being to feel wholesome and it is this psychological inclination that a lot of fraudsters have exploited throughout history the WTS being a prime example. God was grossly misrepresented by such self seeking profiteers but in the future there will be a true religion in word but above all in action that will reconcile God and man.

Morons who honk their horn in a traffic jam.
by Elsewhere intoday i was headed home from work when the four lane highway slowed to a crawl (accident a few miles ahead).
we were moving at about 3 to 5 mile per hour.
all the sudden this dumbass in the car next to me starts in on a honking fit.

It happened to me a few times you stop with other cars about 5 meters ahead waiting for the lights and other people behind start honking for you to move on, it's irrational there is nothing for them to gain if you just move forward another 4-5 meters (15-20feet). Strange psychology.

What's the best way to FADE away from the JW's?

Moving away is a good tactic but then for some people this may not be possible due to work or family or the psychological unsettling effect involved in moving. I personally stopped going to the preaching work and the theocratic school and attended on the weekend ever less frequently. The elders came to my house to see what's going on but I just ignored them and they never bothered me again.

A decent and viable substitute for the WTS
by greendawn inlet's suppose that a large number of ex jws decided to get together and set up a new religious entity to provide any spiritual benefits, that were provided by the wts but as we all know in an exploitative and destructive way.
in a devious way much bitterness was added to whatever benefit they gave.
what would your suggestions be in the way of forming such an entity?

Thanks for the input and let me first of all clarify that I certainly don't believe in the doctrines of the WTS -AK Jeff- instead when I was talking about spirituality I was referring to the general human need for a religious dimension in life.
The idea of organisation goes very much against the grain of perhaps all ex JWs after the grief they got from the WTS as an organised religion, and so it was with me. Perhaps you are right, human nature being what it is, something can start with good intentions and then one or other Joseph Rutherford sooner or later comes along and ruins everything. It would take genuine founders with eternal life and with the direct backing of a few legions of God's own angels to keep things straight on course in the long term.
However some loose non centralised organisation with a strict charter of conduct keeping in check those holding a limited and democratically controlled authority may be a safe game. And if bad comes to worse then the charter can include a clause whereby an organisation that is going rampant becoming unruly and obnoxious to its members will be dissolved and its assets shared out to the poor.
What is unruly and obnoxious must be carefully and concisely defined and should include things like claiming a unique superior status a la FDS, seeking to control people's lives or to punish them for so called violations of a spiritual code, suppressing freedom of speech, imposing demands of any kind, or attempting to intimidate or frighten in any way as by using religious elements and rhetoric, discouraging them from using their own critical faculties.
People should operate in a voluntary way and absolutely uncoerced. No one demands anything from anyone. Here only suggestions can be made without a will to impose. It's the antithesis of the justly hated WTS.
These are some ideas anyway, if it doesn't work then perhaps we can think of a basic structure to help more effectively those leaving the org to stand on their feet. Perhaps build a few centres of spiritual detoxification so that people can see something tangible outside the borg, that visible something in itself helps.
The point is that something organised can, if not hijacked by self seeking malicious individuals, work far more efficiently. -

So Nark if the old boys are becoming increasingly crippled in the mind by old age do we know who is really running the show, who is the real power behind the throne as it were? If we can know that.
I checked the thread you suggested relative to the writing department and it centres around the boot licking of the writers and how the quality of the articles is uninspired as much as it is deceitful. Things seem to have started to fall apart there.
