Higher education is just like everything else someone might do pre-witness - dating, drugs, premarital sex, sports..the list goes on. growing up in the borg puts you at an economic/social disadvantage if you have parents that follow it fanatically.

a couple of days ago, i posted a thread about jws and higher education.
that question was regarding jws who finished high school.. now, my question is this for both jws and xjws alike: are there any jws who before converting did have a college education (4 year bachelors, master or phd) that you know or met?.

Here's my rant:
Absolutely, the GB are cowardly, sniveling, little dickless Bastards! The local elders reflect their leadership perfectly too! I would spit on the GB right now if I could. Hey, feel a road trip to Brooklyn coming on? I think it was only Franz (Ray) who actually realized the full scope his influence as a GB member would have on the average R & F. I think because he actually had a lot of living in the "real" world under his belt before even going to Bethel. If you read about the rest of the GB's life stories, most of them started at Bethel while in their teens or early twenties. They are completely, self-anointed, self-important, self-centered, self-absorbed.
They make me sick, they KNOW what they are doing (the cover ups prove it). I HATE everything they stand for.. want a good laugh, look again at their photos in the Proclaimers book..you'll want to puke when you see their smug little faces staring back at you off the page.

Legal Insurance
by DazedAndConfused ini think that at this point it may imperitive that many on this message board thinks about having legal insurance.
we all have so many things to make us angry, and possibly things that are things that could be taken up in court.
whether it be a suit due to our own situation or even to think about a class action suit..........it is something that each and everyone of us might consider.

I recall that DIM recently shared with me a comment he heard in a talk at the last Circuit Assembly. Something to the effect of, "Brothers, ..Satan LIVES on the Internet..."
So I think we are already seeing the scare tactics being officially implemented. -

we're having a baby!!!
by unanswered ini had not been visiting the board for some time until just recently, so a lot of you don't even know me, but i wanted to announce that my wife and i are having a baby.
we just found out not too long ago.
today, though, was amazing!

congregation i linda kersey was forward and aggressive and oversexed before age 14 and i was still a virgin--age 15 then i made good the gossip mostly with the worldly dudes..got hitched to lisas pappy now decd and another story and chapter in my book the one i aint writ yet..got unhithched when sweet lisa was about 7 yrs old..have been celibate and single mumy since--22 yrs now..i sleep in a single bed alone--i made my bed now i must sleep in it..that is the way iy is folks..i told mine now tell yours!!!

I was a 3 time little league all star.
I played centerfield and 3rd base (pitched a little too). My mom got the "truth when I was 9-10 years old.
My JW mom pressured me all the time, so I gave up all sports at age 13-14. I had a lot of potential (at least I like to think I did).
When I was in my junior/senior year in High School I was known to have a better arm than the starting varsity quarterback, he was in my gym class and when we played football I was the designated QB. I definitely got ripped off!! -

I'v got to tell something this!

she's become a bit more tolerant lately, but mostly we get along better when we don't talk about anything substantive.
i've been working up the nerve to tell the elders why i don't go out anymore.

What I never understood is this:
pre-1935, "Anointed" was the only classification of JW, whether you were 8 or 80 years old. Post 1935, whenever someone new made the claim of being one of the anointed they were viewed as replacements for one of the "originals" who had died unfaithful. Numerous WT articles make the statement that any of these "replacement" anointed would most likely come from among those who have served faithfully for MANY YEARS. Why would that be the case, if as I said, you could have been 8 years old and considered "anointed" pre-1935 ??? Yet another WT riddle. Anybody know if they ever tried to explain this? -
