Is this not bullying? Any announcement at the Kingdumb Hell with a name attached to it will make them liable for legal action, as it affects the reputation of the person named.

Many on this board have had announcements about them stopped dead in their tracks by threatening legal action.

The local elders are hung out to dry if they are sued, and if the Witchtower can be shown to be behind such actions then they can be sued too. Better get those little ones giving to cover the payoffs.

One member here, a practicing homosexual AND MS for years, (gotta give it to the holy ghost!) when a JC was formed (he had by this time a partner) simply threatened to sue and so nothing was ever done.

a bit of background: she is a sweet sister who has hard a really hard life: mum killed in an accident when she was young while once-an-elder dad was off having an affair after having been released from jail after serving time as a pedophile; she spent months in hospital after the accident which killed her mother; brothers jailed as pedos, ex husband left her cold with their 6 month old son- she's had a tough life and is a really sweet lady.

she's intelligent, caring, forgiving and articulate.

far too good for jws.. she 'brought me into the truth' as they say, and as such we've always had a pretty good bond.. now, after the gossip/slander fiasco of another so-called friend running around telling everyone i'm an apostate and not to talk to me, i unfriended my jw friends from facebook with an explanation.

tonight on the service meeting we discussed why jws are not false prophets.

of the ten minute part two were spent discussing that jws just had wrong expectations and only very minor changes over the years although nothing specific was mentioned.

the other eight focused on the core bible truths that have remained the same over the years.

They say they are not false prophets.

Then they say they made no claim to be prophets at all. Sorry: a prophet claims to speak for Jehovah. If they are not prophets then they are not speaking for Jehovah - SO WHY WOULD ANYBODY BOTHER TO LISTEN TO THEM?

Even the Revelation (anti)Climax book says that the annointed resurrected after 1918 have a part in transmoitting new understanding to the BOrg in our day. They havent done a very good job have they?

There is also an implied claim to be prophets in a 1979 - 80 Awake on alien life.

After discussing the ideas on this, they say that there cannot be any alien life forms on other planets, because the "slave has not heard about this" and Jehovah will not do anything unless he informs his servants the prophets. (THEM in other words)

Read about Egypt. Parts of Proverbs are just lifted from Egyptian sacred texts. Even the idea of a day of rest was Egyptian. Resurrection was an Egyptian concept long before Moses compiled (stole) the writings he and others used.

I find it most amusing that you point to the Jewish Law as soo wonderful. The rest of the civilised world worked out for themselves that lying, murder, cheating, stealing, adultery and covetousness were evil, for centuries - yet the Hebrews needed God to tell them, in 1513 BC!! And of course there is no Egyptian Law that forces a rape victim to marry her attacker as long as her father is given money.

YHWH appears to be a homicidal psychopath if Joshua, Judges and parts of the Pentateuch are true. Genocide on a scale that makes Hitler look like St Francis of Assisi. (Do a body count from the scriptures)

Sun newspaper writes about Witness paedophile scandal

it isn't much, only a small piece on page 23 of sunday's sun newspaper .

for our colonial cousins the sun is a highbrow , well respected national daily newspaper , well national daily anyway .

on sunday it printed a small article about what it describes as a jehovah's witness paedophile whose sex crimes had been hushed up by his church .
