  I Need Some Serious Help Please !!!!!!

  first of all, i am not a jw and i never will be, for my own reasons that i need not discuss further.

  however, i have a brother who is a jw and there is a serious problem that he is struggling with, which pertains to his horrible marriage, abusive wife, divorce and being "kicked out" of jw as a member... or whatever jw's call it.

  he has been married to a woman for 22 years.

  The ques should be--- Why on earth would your brother tolerate that ????

  Whether he is insecure or in fear of the results of his actions to divorce, the bottom line is that HIS enabling of this situation and HIS inability to demand what is right is the problem. I am not trying to shift blame--What she is doing is completely wrong and she will have to deal with it sooner or later.

  Like I said, I don't know these people from Adam, but there has to be a moment in your life when you either accept things or change things.

  It is a shame that the way things are set up w/ JW's that these are more common than ones will admit.

  What Qualities Did You Find Most Attractive In The Jehovah's Witnesses???

  one thing i took pride in as a witnesss was that we knew our bible.

  we could talk to any clergymen and smugly decimate them with our knowledge of the "truth".

  Honestly, their outer qualities are quite effective for their mission.I liked their sense of order, constant social interaction ( if you were approved ) and their structure that at least helped you to communicate w/ others. It is a shame that these are worthless when you have spent some time in it and find out it is pointless in view of the context that you are enjoying it.

  Yup---I know the look ---after a separation w/ my wife in which neither one of us would divulge details to witnesses, They were irritated that we wouldn't BLAB to SOMEONE about details, gossip, slander, etc!!!!!!

  Even though we stayed friends and never slandered the other ( the most bitter divorces I saw involved witnesses -- and slander --- to the HILT !!!! ) , I would come to meetings with a goatee, and for some reason that was equated w/ sexual immorality, materialism, apostasy, drug use, biker affiliation-------you know the story-------because we were civil and nothing was done judicially, they were nice superficially, but the innuendos and wierd glances said it all !!!
