Sweet Talk By Any Other Name Is Still Sweet Talk
by Kenneson inthe payson, arizona roundup contains a saccharine story entitled "jehovah's witnesses call all members family.
" under one of the photos is the caption: "members of the jehovah's witnesses of payson chose not to be photographed because they do not believe in setting one member above another member.
" almost made me puke.

Missouri
by Englishman inwatching the simpsons the other day.
grandpa simpson said that he'd never accept missouri as ever being a part of the union.
(actually, he pronounced it mizzurah).

lol, I don't know except Missouri ( pronounced mi-sur-ah) was a split state during the civil war.
Hmm, is that why half are republicans and half are democrats?
That's what was talked about on the news during election time. I've never been, but want to visit.

I LOVE Sunday mornings!
by nicolaou inin the week i have to get up at 5:15 and go to work while the rest of my family are gently snoring in their warm and toasty beds - not fair.
on saturdays the mornings are usually a bit noisy with teenage kids and their friends coming and going, mobiles ringing and the sound of spongebob coming from my little girls room.. but sundays.
ah sundays!.

I love sundays, too! They are my day to relax and not be on the man's schedule, only mine.

an update on my sister
by jwbot into recap: my sister left her family for about 2 weeks, she had been depressed for months (years possibly) and information also surfaced about her being molested by our older half-brother (my fathers son) when she was little.
my family tried desparately to get her to come back and get therapy and it worked.
right now my sister is staying with my parents and they are helping her (and her husband and kids) get back on their feet.

Are Those Of Us That Do Not Preach or Attend Meetings Still JWs???
by minimus inwhat's your opinion??
?

lonelysheep
I was told in my study: "You can't call yourself a jw if you don't go out in the ministry. If you're not in field service, you are NOT a jw."
I like that:jw a verb, not a noun...perfect.

DAing greedy persons
by Gill inso, with the' new disassociating light' wil they have to da all of their overweight witnesses in line with the scriptures:.
'quit mixing with anyone who is a fornicator....greedy person...'?.
surely by their actions of overeating, and greedy persons not inheriting the kingdom, they would be 'showing by their actions' that they are not a jehovah's witness?.

Using their own reasoning, then it would make sense (using that term loosely) to DA anyone overweight, as well as drunkards...but then they'd see just how far they do go beyond what is written. They certainly aren't trying to expose how much bs they spew.

WHY DO PRISONERS DISCOVER "RELIGION"?
by Mary inwhy is it that a number of people who commit the most henious of crimes, suddenly become "born again christians"--usually while sitting on death row?
do they think this somehow absolves them of what they did?
i remember when karla fay tucker was interviewed shortly before her execution (in texas) a few years ago.

Desperation to feel good inside about who they are!
To feel like the crime they committed is abolished and they have a right to start over as if they've never done anything wrong.
They could be at their lowest, most vulnerable point in life and will believe any god stories they're told. (like me when I started studying w/jw's...though I was not a prisoner)
