Well, not yet. If they find jws that are suffering because of it and "handling" it with trust in their Jehovah, they might put something out there.

Do children still get destroyed at Armageddon?
by Anony Mous ini know back in the day, that was taught, that if the parents were going to be destroyed, so would the children.
i just can't easily find reference to anything.
this thinking has been used to justify some egregious behavior towards children and their parents such as exclusion of children from jw family - why worry, the end is near, all will work itself out then - the end didn't come though.

My mother wavered being a jw, not going to meetings for periods of time to appease my non-jw father and because she was worried about what he would be doing when she wasn't around. During that time me and my siblings were scared that we would die at Armaggedon, supposedly being on the brink of its arrival.

The Greeks had a word for it, but the Watchtower didn't
by Nathan Natas ini recall as though it was only 60 years ago, sitting in the kingdom hall on those horrible chairs, learning of the four forms of love: agape, philia, storge and eros.. the watchtower never mentioned pragma.. pragma: this is a committed, compassionate love that often grows as two partners continue to cherish and care for each other.
this type of love is associated with being together for a long time.
in some cases, the passion of eros can grow into pragma over time, this forging a lasting bond.. i think i know why; the watchtower isn't into committed, compassionate, cherishing and caring, are they?.

Anony Mous, sounds like a difficult research assignment. I'm not into that and I felt when the WTS used the Greek words and assigning their own definition to it, was raising themselves above the rank and file. In the bible what is written about Jesus (a real person or not) shows he did not use high-sounding words, but made the concepts easier to understand. You are right, I do believe the WTS stopped doing this for 2 reasons 1) encouraged some jws do further research which lead them to eye-opening info 2) even jws now can't grasp it, just accept whatever the WTS says is valid. They do the same with quotes from "experts" outside the WTS, not naming the person and their real credentials and not saying what secular publication it came from. About all you can do is put the quote in quote marks and search on Google for that information.

At Armageddon, even children will die with their parents.

I noticed some time ago that the WTS no longer shares the exact Greek word they mention. Once the WTS prided itself on showing their Greek knowledge by using the exact term often. Started long ago, dumbing down? For example e'ros has been replaced with "romantic love."

Yes, if you don't want someone outside your marriage to know what is going on in your marriage, don't share that with them. Many jws take it very seriously to report other jws based on that person's wild idea that it is wrong and goes to the the elders and report you. Make sure that whatever happens is mutually agreed upon between husband and wife also Unless one spouse reports the other spouse...

Changing the Date of the Memorial?
by KalebOutWest ini noticed in the latest memorial invitation, the dates for the observance are odd--well far more odd than usual.. what i mean is that forever as i can remember, jehovah's witnesses use to advertise really big that this was nisan 14. they don't tend to do this anymore.. and being jewish, their dates now tend to align with passover, or at least with the second seder night of passover.. 2025: saturday, april 12 (nisan 15).
2026: thursday, april 2 (nisan 15/16).
2027: monday, march 22 (nisan 15/16).

Canada exploring changes to tax rules that exempt religious organizations
by Scully inhttps://www.christianpost.com/news/evangelicals-oppose-removal-of-tax-status-in-canadian-proposal.html.
the proposed change will revoke charitable status of canadian churches who have an anti-abortion position, and will not give tax exemptions to organizations whose sole claim is to promote religion, which is the basic claim for all jw related entities in canada.
this will be interesting!.

hoser, so far there are term limits for US presidents, 2 terms (not necessarily consecutive). DT has hinted he would like to have a third term, would have to be a constitutional change. No term limits Supreme Court though. Term limits on people in Congress, 2 yrs representatives, 6 years senators, but can keep running and be elected to another term.
