as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

MAC! I remember this article! I read it and was totally disgusted back then because I felt they were trying to bash the Catholic Church again. (little did I know they were also an NGO in a partnership with the UN's DPI.)

Hawk: Thanks for posting the article in full. It brought back my thoughts of back when I first read the bogus article regarding this statement regarding the RCC's "strong views against family planning. "Since the UN takes most of its decisions by consensus," notes IPS, "dissenting voices such as those of the Vatican have derailed negotiations on issues relating to population, contraception, women's rights and reproductive health care."

I remember thinking, "The RCC doesn't have strong views AGAINST family planning. They are only against unnatural forms of family planning." I remember thinking they were trying to incite the "friends" again. And they were. Always trying to say, "LOOK ARMAGEDDON IS ALMOST HERE! THE BEAST IS FINALLY TURNING AGAINST BABYLON!"

Don't you just love it when things like this jump out and bite them in the toosh!

it is the community conscious international newsletter informing all clerical persons of the latest watchtower scandal.

Okay, I want to be in but my printer is on the outs. Can someone do me the favor of sending an original snail mail. Then I will have it copied and do a mass mailing. Even my kids will be involved. They all want to bring the WTS down! I also know quite a number of priests in various areas who would be interested in disseminating this information. They might also have contacts in the media. I will contact the local papers this week. I know that's the pre-requisite.

Zev, why don't you first write back and ask them who exactly it is they are grateful to for bringing to "light" the language they cannot subscribe to.

Also, ask them why they couldn't take advantage of the depository libraries in New York or the loan system mentioned by Hawkaw.

And ask them to send you photocopies of their application to become NGO/DPI associates. They shouldn't object if they are telling the truth. And to send them the letter the UN sent them denying them access to their library unless they became associates of the DPI.

Do this first, before disassociating and post the reply here ... if you get one, that is.

The Watchtower Society is a joke! At least they used to be good liars. Now they even suck at lying, leaving themselves open this way.

I think I'm going to write a letter to them too. What the heck.

Should I send a letter to the CO?

some of you may remember that when i joined this forum i was having problems at home regarding the un issue.

everything appears to have settled down now and i promised my mum that i wouldnt mention it again to her.

however, looking back at the events around that time, i feel that the circuit overseer not only made it difficult for me, but also for my mother.

Sirona, I think the best way to get this CO right where it hurts is by targeting his WIFE!

Next time he comes to town, have all the photocopies readily available. Go to the meeting for service and find some way to sneak the info into her book-bag. One day she comes across it and secretly reads it.

Wouldn't it be great if HIW OWN WIFE becomes an apostate. What a slap in the face to him that he couldn't even keep his wife in the borg.

Fake it like you're coming back to the meetings and target the wife. With such an asshole for a husband, she's probably looking for a way out anyways!

well, i did it.. it's official and i'm relieved.. the elders wanted to try talking to me once again, but after awhile it was obvious that they were only interested in changing my thoughts not answering any questions.

so, i just calmly asked if i could disassociate myself.

they acted stunned and they got tears in their eyes, but i told them that i had already grieved and was ready to move on with life.

In Whittier, California. A brother in his 20's named John. Took an overdose of something-or-other and died. Was found by his fiance. This was last year. Was very depressed prior to this and on anti-depressants. Congregation coverd it up but it leaked out.

BJ, my uncle is a psychiatrist who is currently caring for numerous JW's who have tried to commit suicide. If you want, I can ask him if it's okay if you contact him. He lives in Washington, DC.

my dub sister planned this little event to see the lion king.

she invited my two other sisters and their families and purposely left me out.

when my family asked about me, she just shrugged her shoulders -- the little hypocrite couldn't "stumble" them by telling them she was shunning her own sister.

Update On My Sister

my sister was homeless for the second time in one month and my husband and i spent all week on the phone, computer and otherwise trying to find help for her or just figure out what to do.

we couldn't support another person.. the original story and thread on this is at * http://www.jehovahswitness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=12492&site=3.

anyway i feel much better now knowing things are looking better.. we drove to st louis sunday moved her out of that families home and put all her stuff in storage.. i did not know this but st louis has around 45,000 bosnian immigrants.. my sister became friends with some of them and one of the guys has offered to let her stay at his place for a couple of weeks.. we met him and saw his apt.
