This looks to be a matter of semantics without any real change of understanding in relation to the Great Crowd and Anointed.
Althoough they dont explain "Declared rightous as Gods friend" (Whatever that may mean), they dont make a point of changing the belief either . I beleive it is just a little ambiguous .

I just run down some of the posts on the pro J W board.

I second the remarks of "Avenger" it looks phoney, for someone claiming to be American and having a son., so he is not all that young.
Nevertheless it raises a valid point as to how do young witness males learn to cope with natural feelings and passions?
I, like lots of us here, grew up within the Org. and I well rember the feelings of worthlessness and guilt that regularly went through for things I later found out were entirely normal to young men .
I seemed that everything that I wanted, or felt inside , was "untheocratic" or immoral and i was therefore not worthy of being there in "Gods Org."
I grew out of it as we do , and I hope this young man does the same

I have often thought back and wondered whether membership of the dubs is a good thing for some people??
I remember D.... , a lovely man but afficted by schizophrenia, and he was partially sighted. all he had in life was at the Kingom Halland he never missed. On a wet Sunday morning you always new that D.... would turn up for F/S . How would he have coped if we showed him that it was a load of baloney?
But then again , does that justify keeping people in ignorance, and pushing forward hopes that are just not true? Dreams that will not be fulfilled ..
I think we have to face reality, no matter how much it hurts.
if you read my post's you may have noticed i'm not the best at spelling.. i think i could be dyslexic, my father and one of my sisters are, and i tend to make the same mistakes.. also i havent had the need to do much writing since i left school so i'm out of practise.. i believe i'm getting in better, at least i hope so .. anyway the point is this.i once had a discusson with a brother about spelling.he believed there was a correct absolute standard for spelling words, which was the oxford dictionary.. the way it was spelt there is the way to spell it.. if they changed the spelling you should change.. but i feel things like spelling are not absolute.of course people need to understand what we write.but i feel small changes to words to make them fit more inline with how we say them would be benifical.. what is the point of having a word spelt a different way to how it is said?.
but do you judge poster's intelligence on their spelling?.
i guess we mostly do.. how important to you is the way people spell?

I do believe that correct spelling and grammar are important, even if I do not always get it right. I deplore the education system that has failed to teach young people how to use our language correctly.
Of course we can be tolerant of those for whom English is not the native language, we get the point O K .
Some posters seem to make a point of posting in deliberately fractured English. What are they trying to prove?

i went by to take a picture yesterday and a couple of jws drove up.
i talked a few minutes and gave him the history of the hall, along with a few comments about my family and some of the questions i have about the new light.
The trend to window less seemed to co incide with standard designs by the quick build architects ,resultant in boring soul less places.. I believe it had more to do with air conditioning units than aesthetics.

I remmember well the Ausie bomb. reported on News BBC ,we sent a card of condolance. I heard a tape of a speaker trying to explain why it was "allowed to happen" but even then his explanation made no sense.
They could not believe that it was just one of those things that happen ,without a Divine reason..
when i was an active jw in the field ministry, i was timid to the usual "no soliciting" sign and it was always an elder, or a po, or a c.o.
who reminded me to not skip the house (which i did) with a "no soliciting" sign out front because the field ministry was not the same thing as soliciting (of course we're not soliciting members for our church, we're just warning you that if you don't become a member of our religion you're toast!
) i was a rather timid witness, so didn't care if they joined the religion or not, but i never did liked the reasoning that was put into preaching to people who had conspicuously placed "no soliciting" signs (you know, maybe thay don't want anyone who they don't know knocking at their doors anyway).

this is just for fun, but imagine if you will the following scenario.. the gb are dropping like flies and the remainder are desperate to find some replacements before the whole shebang is taken over by non-annointed ones.. news comes in of a middle-aged anointed bro who sounds as if he will fit the bill perfectly.
no-one at brooklyn has met him yet, so they send for him to be interviewed with a view to him sitting on the gb if approved.. on the flight to new york the prospective gb newbie suffers a heart attack, and as he expires he drops his wallet under the seat, the wallet also contains a letter with the details of his forthcoming interview.. by an amazing coincidence, the person sat immediately behind the victim is an active poster from jw discussion.
he spots the wallet, and upon reading its contents he decides that he will impersonate the defunct would-be gb member in the hope of eventually becoming part of the gb himself.
whoever got in, lets have him:-
1) replace kingdom songs for hot gospel and heavy metal music
2) re instate the food and drinks at assemblies
3) let them have blood , birthdays and Christmas if they want
4) stop disfelloshiping people
5) make sure all the teachings are really based on scripture
6) teach them to use their conscience, not just follow rules
7) bring back some fun into it , like it used to be
