  How do you deal with this feeling of emptiness?

  this feeling that you have seen it all, that there's nothing more in the universe to live for.... i know that it is rubbish, i know it's related to post-exit syndrome.... but how do you deal with it now?.

  it's just so ridiculous to have the feeling that you're life is over at 19... but i can't help it.. help me!.

  Not allowed to sleep over - is that weird?

  okay, so my guy and i have been together for 10 months and we usually are ok together.

  but there is something that has been getting to me and i think its unusual, but please correct me if i'm wrong - he won't let me sleep over at his house.

  and he hardly ever stays at my house, he's maybe stayed here 3 times in our whole relationship.

  I can't get that scene from Ace Ventura of Jim Carrey in tears crouched in the shower out of my mind for some reason.. your dude sounds like a weird bastard. And I doubt he's really into you much to be honest. That's probably a really good thing because he sounds like a weird bastard.

  I say boot this Ace Ventura wanna-be to the ditch and find someone that can stand sleeping in the same bed next to you, and can handle a few germs. It's not that much to ask.

  i'm not saying those in power would even contemplate doing this, but i wonder just how far jws would go to obey their leaders.

  would they go as far as to kill, if they thought god had given that message to 'his people'?.

  it would probably take years of subtle changes in their message so that it didn't come as a big shock.

  Years of frustration from unfulfilled promises, years of being laughed at by worldlings for being freakish outcasts.. don't kid yourself. These people can kill. It's just a matter of them twisting some more scriptures around. Might be a hard sell getting grandma soft-spoken-special-pioneer to blow her son/daughters head off with a shotgun or to stab an evil apostate in the back with a steak knife. But how about a little poison in their food to make them fall asleep forever.

  Its what Jehovah wants after all. You want to be a friend of Jehovah and to be found in his favor, don't you? He that endures to the end is the one that will be saved.

  in decades past, i can't ever recall anyone who 'left the truth' , who openly believed it was false.. i knew lots of people who drifted away but none who actively proclaimed that what the organization.

  taught was false.

  usually, you would bump into them and they would say , "i know its the truth but.

  After a while of living in a rational head-space it becomes hard to fathom that some people still truly believe in the Witness nonsense, but some people still do truly believe in the Witness nonsense. Some of them are terror struck by apostates and anything critical of the Watchtower, and a lot of them will continue that way for their entire lives.

  I don't think there will be a mass exodus, and I don't think I'll see an implosion of that religion in my lifetime. And I'm not really caring too much either these days.

  there are so many wonderful podcasts for downloading and listening on the go!.

  i try to sample new ones every chance i get.. think how much time we simply waste when sitting in traffic or waiting on line or sitting in the doctor's office.. i now carry my mp3 player with me everywhere and listen to things which can edify, enlighten, entertain and fill those empty moments with something special.. here are a few podcasts i really enjoy.

  Same methodology as the Watchtower Society!

  This is probably what bothered me so much about the film. I was fuming on the couch, watching it with my girlfriend. When we got to the part where some guy being interviewed said that he had heard from one of the Rockerfellers that George Bush has a plan to install microchips in our foreheads I probably had sparks flying out of my ears. I felt both hilarity and nausea at the same time.

  How easy it is to slip into believing crazy shit when unaware of subtle psychological manipulation.
