  Witnesses.....will they REALLY be any different in the New System?

  in talking to a fellow ex-dub buddy of mine the other day, it occured to me that in many ways....witnesses could be living the life they expect to live in the new system.......but they don't.. in the publications we see picture after picture of smiling brothers helping each other frame each others new houses ....for free.

  we also never see in the publications poor african people walking through aligator/ piranna infested swamps to get to a kingdom hall either in the new system.. .

  the fact is......brothers hire brothers in this system to help build their new homes and are taught not to expect free labor, but to pay them as you would the next guy.. with regards to the poor africans.....and others...., the jehovahs witness organisation has enough money to see that fellow believers in poorer countries should not go hungry or be without a meeting place to worship in.

  aren't you glad that you don't have to follow all the silly rules of the organization?

  it is comforting to know that we don't have to feel guilty anymore because we just aren't doing enough.

  we always fell short of a goal.

  i tried it, could not swallow all the lies and misinformation they had.

  i am sorry, but even if you deny the whole witness faith, there is still parts to christianity that they pointed out that you can not just ignore and act like it is okay to join another faith that is christian.

  are you going to become catholic when your know their history?

  Just because I left a cult does not mean that I left God. It is not Gods fault that I was foolish enough to be duped into the JW cult. I have continued my search for faith and I attend a church. One thing I can do that I could not do in the society was that if I had a question about doctrine, I could freely ask the pastor without any reprocussions from the questions. I could not do that in the cult faith as they would say, "Don't you believe" ? or "why do you question Gods organisation"? I attend a Baptist church now and I have confronted the pastor on many issues and without any bitterness he will answer my questions.

  Now today because of the JW society has caused me to not want to join any church, I can not seem to become a member because of the borg, but atleast I have a freedom to question without hesitation. The church I attend teaches that the true faith is in Christ and nothing more. I cannot spit God in the face for something that man had done to me and myself to me. I personally hold myself responsible for getting involved and thinking that the JW's had something more than other faiths. I am over it now and happy to be apart of Gods family.....I wish you all the luck in the world.....

  i dont understand how god can be omnipotent, and all knowing, but that doesnt apply to knowing the future?

  Is Jehovah really gods name?

  in another thread i started someone askedi still believe in jehovah, but now, i'm having doubts about his name???

  is jehovah really god's name?

  if he wanted his name to be known, he's all-powerful, omnipotent... i know that he has the power to make sure that his name is used correctly.

  Whats really funny is that I was always told when I was involved with the JW's is that they were the only ones that recognized Jehovahs name. When I left the JW's I went to the baptist faith and found that they also use Jehovahs name. I thought to myself while I was in service and heard the pastor use Jehovahs name "those JW liars"

  I can handle a lot of issues but when someone lies to me I find it very hard to trust them again.....

  Toby,

  It takes time to get over all that we went through, be patient, stand your ground and find the truth inside yourself. You will heal but it will take time. It took us all sometime to get over the pain brought on by the society but we all have endured. Once we healed we found ourselves to be just as normal as the next person. Good luck and I know you will find a peace with yourself.

  in some ways, it sounds like this must have happened 200 years ago.

  was it really only 50 years ago that whites and blacks were segregated like this??

  No I don't hate the person who studied with me but at the same time I am not happy with them either. Hate is the opposite of love, hate is evil, love is holy. Jesus said to love thy neighbor and so I try to do just that as I love the Christ................

  Maybe you are not one of the bethel blokes here, but there is one thing mouthy got right. And that is why you are here ? Tell us just exactly why is it that you are here ? If you think that for one moment that if the elders found out that you were here, you would be def'd for sure. Most of us here were involved with the JW's just like you but we came here because we had questions. After finding those questions answered here we quit going or quit being members. We had the balls to stand up for ourselves and defend what is right and wrong.

  I really don't understand your purpose here ? Did you think that you were going to come into JWD and try to convert others back ? If you got guts then tell us exactly why you are here ? Are you one of those that are scared by the borg ? To controlled by them to make a stand for yourself ? You are not alone in this weakness as many others have also learned of the JW false doctrines. To be very honest if someone learns that something is not true when being told so and proven so even through scripture and yet still supports the lie then just what does that make you ? I'll tell you what it makes you, apart of the lie.

  I for one will never post any more to your threads as I do not support those who support the lie..........And if you were this wholly JW then properly you should go to your elders and ask them for forgiveness because you were involved with an apostate site on the net. That is what a good JW does. Oh that's right I forgot "You got to have balls to do that"
