Keep presenting it as an eccentric belief of her mom's. "Mommy believes Christmas is bad, lights are bad, gifts are bad, singing Happy Birthday is bad, etc. Daddy does not." Or whatever...

Like you say, it's their choice. But let's not labor under the delusion that acting out angrily and illegally is a tool to help current jws wake up. It does the opposite.
It's designed for them to vent their anger, period. I can't even call this activism because it's designed to worsen the issue they claim to be fighting against. I just call it revenge.
Should they wish to help current jws, they could have modified the approach slightly and perhaps had an actual positive impact.

donuthole...lol...Apostate Like it's 1978! (Sung to the tune of Prince's song 1999) ITA.
I think this could have been modified slightly and it would have been fine. (If it's your thang to try to convert current jws--I'm more interested in prevention, but to each, his own.)
For example, dress appropriately, enter the hall and strike up conversations with people politely, expressing concerns. Or leave flyers on cars quietly.
WTH was that weird thing at the end? I had to turn it off. So aggravating. Seemed like a lunatic. "Are you a lawyer?" What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? Just a way to behave angrily like a bully--nothing else.
Believe me, I understand the anger. Fully. But we gotta take the high road. I don't think we should be doing things designed to scare questioning dubs back to the arms of Mommie Borg.
Full disclosure--I've posted lots of times about practical jokes. When I was a questioning teen, I did some. Here I've posted joke threads about what we could do, but I intend on doing none of them. Discussing practical jokes or other "activist" ideas can be therapeutic in itself, without carrrying them out. Like an unsent letter.
Again, to each, his own, but IMO this "bursting in", yelling, disrupting, and demanding to know the bro's attorney registration # is irrelevant and counterproductive.

Window-washer is the cover of Feb 2015 WT, "How to enjoy your work!" Hahaha!!
by EndofMysteries in.
after all the jokes and satire on this website about jw's only being able to amount to window washers and house cleaners, the cover page of "how to enjoy your work" showing a window washer and cleaner in the back ground.
i almost wonder if some awakened, still-in, from this site is part of the writing department or illustrations and put that in there as an inside joke for us?.

Super childish and disrespectful. The only way to truly triumph over the evil of the cult is to be better than them. Epic fail.

zodiac and the bible
by Crazyguy ini have seen and read plenty of stuff on the net that implies many of the things in the bible are actually refuring to the zodiac.
one example would be that in the new testament the 'end of the world' phrphrase is actually a miss translation and it should say 'end of the age' and that this age that is being talked about is the change to the new sign of the zodiac which occurred at about 125 ad to the sign of picees.
has anyone done any extensive research on this theory that ma y things referred to in the bible is actually talking about the zodiac signs etc.

It wouldn't be unbelievable if one set of magical beliefs had borrowed some ideas from another.

My views.
by ivanatahan inthis is more of an introductory post discussing my views and background than anything else, really.. i was, unfortunately, born into this religion.
my mom was, and still is, a pioneer (or as some call it: "piousneer"), and my father is an elder.
admittedly, up until a few months up to a year back, i was indeed a zealous "servant of jehovah".

IIRC, Bro. Russell did start out selling publications, and calling it sales. Not sure that really matters at this point. The org does make a lot of money and does not really use it to do good.
Congratulations on waking up so early in life. You've got less scars than many of us. You have so much of your life ahead of you.
