I think DO'S AND CO's get what they deserve when they retire, they can feed on all the bs that they have been feeding the rank and file, they sure as helll don't deserve better. so they have no social security benefits, well if you don't pay in you don't deserve to get any, that's my feeling at least. They have helped to bind peoples minds and hearts so I have no feeling for their plight at all. They are getting what they deserve and their watchtower god, the society, is paying them what they pay everyone else, nothing.

Politics and Elders
by minimus inthe rank and file may never realize how things really work in a body of elders.
everything that is done has zippo to do with holy spirit.
it's all about poltics, approaches, schmoozing and backroom deals.

It's more like they are appointed by hold s**t, what a bunch of it. I use to be a MS and was also told I was appointed by holy spirit(s). When we moved and being out harrassing the neighbor hood with our bags full of manure, was told by the book study conductor that they wanted me to get my hours up so I could qualify for being a MS again. I almost laughed about it, so I told him that i didn't know that the holy spirit was checking monthly time sheets, and he got all flustered about it and said just get your hours up we need your help.
Well of course feeling spiritual and all i lowered the amount of hours of field harrassment instead of raising them. Not long afterward, they wanted me to enjoy the priviledge of playing the music tapes. I told them no thanks, i didn't like the music and didnt want to be responsible for playing such, and that I hardly considered it a priviledge it was in league with handling the microphones for crying out loud. When told this the elder went all speechless he couldn't believe I would turn down this "privildege from God". They are so full of it, that they cant see from the manure in their eyes, because it all smells and looks like s**t.

The school as usual just sucked, boring boring and more and more boring.
Service mtng: Have kids in service, give examples of how your kids benefited from knocking on doors when no one was home or if there uninterested. What a load of b.s., of course you had all the elders and elderettes those w/o children answering questions of how to train your children. Just more and more mind control and these rectum circles just eating it up or sitting there stupified. It only takes one of these meeting every 5 years to keep me away for another 5. I just wanted to puke, they really have no clue as to how controlled they really are. A society of men with no children telling those with children how to raise them and get them to love the ministry. Almost got me to wake up and puke right there in front of them all.

What's the most thought-provoking novel you've ever read?
by lucky ini'd have to say for me that it was ayn rand's the fountainhead.
even though i don't agree with a lot of her philosophy, it definitely made me stumble around in a thought-induced haze for a few weeks after reading it.

being fired can be fun and an enriching experience, I was fired once, and it brought a lot of relief, it did however, cause me to bring out the bad side for awhile, i had offered to open a can of whip ass on two of the supervisors there, they of course declined, but made the mistake of coming up to me and pushing me in chest and thats all it took to open the can, was a very good experience for me, not for them, afterward to ensure that they didn't bring charges against me I called police and told them that they tried to gang up on me, used physical violence and that i had to beat the s**t out of them. Yes I really did enjoy being fired from that job, it was extremely stressful anyway, and they were not appreciative of my efforts i never went to lunch and never took breaks. Just goes to show you can't please everyone.

Did you know of any JWs fighting in the Kingdom Hall or arguing in the KH?
by booker-t inthis might sound funny but i have heard many stories of jw's fighting in the kh bathroom or arguing.
i remember an elder's wife who was having alot of medical problems cursed out another sister in the bathroom.
she called her everything but the kitchen sink i was told by another sister that was in the bathroom when this altercation took place.

While attending one congregation I heard one elder call another a s.o.b. and he was right. the bro was a sob and caused a lot of problems in the congregation. he I believe was directly responsible for the continuing decline in the number of adherents who attended. Well maybe he wasnt so bad after all he did cause the attendence to go down. Buff

Who left the JW's after getting on the internet?
by toladest invitta's thread above got me wondering.
how many here still believed the "witnesses" to have the truth until they came to sites like this?
how many actually came here to defend the jw's and ended up leaving?

It was the internet that proved to be the icing on the cake. Questions before but H2O was a real eye opener. The borg definitely sucked. Buff

Another elder there that I had recently met and who was "friendly", asked my wife the other day how Ralph was? My wife of course was startled and wanted to know who Ralph was, he of course thought it was me, he supposedly cared so much he didnt even know myh name crazy huh? buff

A funny thing happened to me the other day.
by TweetieBird injust had the co visit and a circuit assembly and the big push is on to do business territory and street witnessing and less door to door.
we've been encouraged to "go where the people are!
" which brings me to a funny coincidence.

Met a dubbie at a gas station the other day, bit of a prig I must say, it was 6:00am in the morning so I guess your could say that he was going to where the people were. Got my chance to talk to him, I asked him a question before he could ask me, it was "Was the book of Joshua written by Joshua?" he of course said yes, so then I asked him if Joshua wrote the book of Joshua who wrote Joshua 24:31, he quickly turned there to explain it to me, hesitated for a moment, read it, looked at me a little flustered and couldn't answer my question, I said for him to have written the book about himself he would have had to been raised from the dead wouldn't you agree, he wouldn't reply, so I told him when you are selling magazines you should know what the hell you are talking about, so dont bother me with your b.s. and no I dont want to hear your sales pitch.
