You should see the looks we get when we call our "Puppy" in the house, she is a ten pound cat. People laugh and say that cats going to need therapy. I think it makes her stand out, here puppy...........

My Mother died...
by david_10 init happened one year ago today.
june 4, 2004. they say these things take time and that recovery gets easier as time goes on, and i suppose that's true.
but then again, some things leave a hole in your heart that will never go away.

So sorry for your broken heart. A mother is the only person who will love you unconditionally. I choose not to burden my ageing mother with the real truth about the truth----at this point in her life, it is all she has to keep her going..........all her children have left the religion, but we realize it is her life blood. So it will only hurt her in the end...........so let her believe in fairy tales, it keeps her happy, healthy, and with purpose in life no matter how long we have her for, plus it is her connection to people where she lives, so we just let her be and love her always..............

Do you ever think that you will stop JW-bashing and get on with your life?
by booker-t ini was recently talking to a girl in my psychology class who told me that she use to be a jw and was df'd in the mid 1990's.
this girl shocked me because usually ex-jws are so unhappy and miserable and spend most of their time complaining about the "evil" wt society.
she told me that when she was df'd alot of ex-jws swarmed towards her trying to get her to "bash" the wt but she refused.

No don't bash them, live and let live. For your own peace of mind it is best to move on with life, I think she is right. The best revenge on the tower is for all on the out side to be happy and at peace with our lives..............

A true friend
by fairchild inalthough i was never baptized, i was around jws for more than 20 years and attended all the meetings for the past several years.
i was always invited at social jw events and was treated as one of their own.
when i turned my back on the organization, almost 6 months ago, i found out that they started to shun me.

True friends are far and few, so if she is, than hold onto that friendship.................I have 5 very best friends that I trust my life with and they are all JW. and they know how I feel, they feel the exact same way, so we do what we have too, to keep our families all the while enjoying our " and making jokes and laughing at the " Brudderhood." So have a great time with your buddy!!!!!!!!!

What blessings are you thanking God for at this moment?
by AK - Jeff ini often think of how as jw's we missed life now!
not to say that i will ever suscribe to the 'live it up for tommorrow we might die' ideas - but i sense that i was so busy looking for the new world that i missed the one i was already in - so i am counting the blessings i see every day - and there is so much to be thankful for.
as i write this my grandson [whom we are raising due to unfortunate situation] is sitting and playing with his toys, smiling, giggling, and loving the sight and touch of new things.

BLESSINGS: there are so many it is hard to count, my wonderful loving "HUBBY" and I do mean "HUBBY"( for those that don't get it, cuz they don't have it, we pity you)-------------------children, grandbabies, family, "TRUE FRIENDS" which you can count on one hand, health, good times.............to many to list...............

Ex elders, have you apologized to anyone you df'd?
by avishai infor instance, especially kids under the age of eighteen, or dfing folks for questioning the society?
i think if i had been involved, i'd have to get on the horn with everyone i'd df'd.
