I remember when I was living with my sister in an apartment, 2 brothers were in the apartment complex visiting some other people and they came by to say hi to me and my sister; they couldn't even physically put one foot in our doorway however, because someone might see these 2 single brothers going inside a single sister's apartment and they might be stumbled. LOL So stupid, like oh my gosh since we are alone let's have a sexual orgy!

Name Some Trivial Things That Are Big Deals To JWs
by minimus inso many things come to mind to show how silly jws sound in reality.
for example, being allowed to pass the microphones is a big deal, especially to a young brother.
or being given the "privilege" of cutting the grass or working on a "quick-build" is really something special to a jw.

Qwerty--no I did not feel ill after I gave blood. But I was very cautious because I tend to be sensitive to everything that affects my health. I had them elevate my feet while I gave blood, and they let me drink soda while I was giving blood, and I made sure I ate a good meal a couple hours before. I felt perfectly fine afterwards. I don't like needles, but I figure I might need blood someday so why not donate to other people.

Residual Blood Left in Organ for Transplant.....An answer for 144,001
by EvilForce in144001...to answer your pm here is your answer...i've tried to keep it free of technobabble and medispeak... .
i still can't pm outgoing messages nor does it look like the problem will be addressed.
an organ when ready for transplant is "drained" of it's blood.

crazyblondeb--I wish I could have seen their sourpuss faces when they were thrown out of the hospital! They are so nutty! And why are they always in other people's business, even something that is a conscience matter!

EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW
by Terry inthere are a large number of very smart people here.
a vast array of intelligences has a power and scope quite out of the ordinary.
ask a question you've always wanted to know (not necessarily religious in nature; just in general) from trivia to personal inquiry......let it out now.

A few posts here have hit some important points about women and sex. (I'm in my 40's so I am experienced on this one.)
Some women, like myself, have to get mentally in the mood for sex. The last few years have been very stressful for me, so I need a nice bubble bath, candles burning, and that kind of stuff to get myself in the mood. My partner also has a huge amount to do with whether I feel like having sex. My ex-boyfriend was the best lover I ever had not only because I was hopelessly in love with him, but he spent a lot of time treating me like a queen--opening doors for me, wining/dining me, massaging my back or feet or whatever, giving me warm towels to use after a shower, etc etc. How he treated me every day made a huge difference in our sex life. My husband does not pick up after himself, leaves dirty dishes in our bedroom, does not help around the house, and he also has trouble getting it up if you know what I mean--needless to say I'm not in the mood very often. Especially when he is watching WWF Wrestling at night--sorry but watching that just does not get me in the mood.
Sorry I had to vent, because I am a married but sexually frustrated woman!!!

Do JWs ever use their donations/WT profits to help the less-fortunate?
by sonnyboy ini was a jw for a number of years as a kid, but i don't remember them doing anything to help the community.
many churches in my area have soup kitchens, clothing/toy drives, and other services to help people in need.
do jehovah's witnesses ever use proceeds in this way, or are they all used to make more watchtowers, books, and kingdom halls?

crazyblondeb--just remember that a lot of older people are very stubborn and refuse help from family. My dad is almost 87 and lives with my stepmom who is around the same age. My stepmom appreciates any help from me and my family, whereas my dad will complain if we help him with stuff. We help them anyway, and I think he is getting more used to it because he doesn't complain as much as he used to. But he is pretty stubborn--we had to call the DMV to take away his license for his own safety because his car is all scratched up and we also did not want him to kill someone.

Just a question
by brittani ini am not a jevoha's witness...and i have some questions for you.. 1. wasn't jesus set to return in 1874 according to your history?.
2. if you believe the bible, the bible says that jesus came for the salvation of all men, not just 144000 of them.. 3. if only 144,000 people are allowed to go to heaven with god, then why did god send jesus to earth?
god's eternal life is a gift, not something you have to work for.. please reply

Welcome Brittani! If you are interested in the JW religion, please use every avenue possible to do your research--both the site AFIN told you about and all other sites you can google regarding this religion. The JW's are not allowed to research their own religion--if they even make a statement that they are unsure of any teachings, there is a strong possibility that they will be disfellowshipped and shunned by family members and close friends, which is why a lot of them blindly follow whatever the Watchtower Society tells them to do. This is why some people like AFIN is trying to discourage you from researching other internet sites, and also why most rank and file JW's don't know the dirty laundry that is being hidden. Also--at meetings of JW's, they are constantly being told to stay away from the Internet and 'Apostate' websites such as the one you are on. NOTICE THAT MOST OF US REPLYING TO YOU ARE TELLING YOU TO DO HEAVY RESEARCH, WHEREAS THE JW AFIN IS TRYING TO DISCOURAGE YOU FROM DOING RESEARCH!!!
Blondie--you are one smart woman!!! You always have the info at your fingertips. Nice to know there are people who post that have the information straight from the horse's mouth.
