in your personal opinon what are the five mistakes women make in relationships?
i know everyone is going to have a different answer but i'd like to see if there's a tread throughout.
3) Please be consistent. If you can excuse yourself for erratic behaviour because of your period why can't I
ask if your weird behaviour is because of your period.
LOL some of these answers are really cracking me up.
I'm learning a lot, keep posting people. Maybe my next relationship will be more successful if I follow all these leads.
i have been disfellowshipped since 2001. does the society still recommend that elders make annual visits to encourage people to come back?
just wondering, as i never have received one.
i do not want to go back, just wondering if this is just another lie about their fake compassion and love.
When I did my fade, the only time anyone came by was when 2 elders were trying to spy on me. I think my sister told them I was dating worldly men oooooooohhhhh and staying out all night oooooooohhhhh (only reason she knew is because I moved in with my parents cause I lost my job.)
The elders came by on Easter Sunday and I was out front with my 2 young kids with Easter baskets ( oooohhhhh evil) and my non JW brother was outside with me (he had a beard and they probably thought he was my boyfriend.)
They sat in their car across the street for a while, I guess observing me. I thought they just happened to be going door-to-door but they weren't. One guy got out and motioned with his hand to his ear like a phone and mouthed the words "Call me". I smiled, nodded, and said ok. NOT! Never did, and no one ever called or stopped by again.
hello folks, i'm 27 and left the witnesses mentally around the age of 19, and physically around the age of 24. anyhow, back in the day, my best friend and i would draw cartoons and make up hilarious stories about people in the kingdom hall.....this is what we would do to make it through the meetings.
one sunday morning, my buddy was really depressed and wrote this poem.
i found it in a notebook while i was moving last week and thought i would share.. smiles on paper bags.

today, i went to put the trash outside and i opened my garbage can, i can tell that someone has been going thru my trash, i did not like it.
it is not the first time.
it has been going on several times in the past few weeks.
Maybe it's the JWs looking for porn, cigarette butts or Christmas paper so they can disfellowship you!!!

here is my dilemma.
i am grown and married but i stlill go to the same congregation as my mom.
my dad is not a jw, just my mom and sister but she lives an hour away so it is just my mom and i. as i have come to realise that the wts is 100% pure junk, going to meetings and hearing "the friends" talk has become unbearable.
I feel for ya. After 16 years of avoiding issues with my JW sister, I sent off a letter to her 2 weeks ago. I became extremely tired of putting on a fake personality for her, even though it was long distance most of the time. I feel much better, more honest, and feel like I am finally being true to myself.
It doesn't feel good emotionally to put on fronts for others, especially family members. The JW religion has caused SO much heartache for my family--I'm so glad the rest of my family never converted.

i was an elder and had just left bethel.
i didn't want to believe what i was reading especially from current and former elders.
I felt shocked as I learned how evil the WBTS really is and how unkind most of the elders really are, and that many people get disfellowshipped who want forgiveness and are repentant.

i wrote the letter and mailed it in a bad frame of mind.
Well I sent my letter of disassociation to my relative's KH. I got really burned out on her nuttiness so for my own sanity and emotional/mental health I had to do it.

I wrote the letter and mailed it in a bad frame of mind. Some day I will post the letter, because it actually makes me laugh the way I worded some things. But for now, I don't feel comfortable posting it.
I just feel sad that our whole relationship was based on whether this JW relative thought I was living my life according to her JW standards. Before I sent the letter, I think the final straw that sent me over the edge with wanting no more contact with this person, was when I asked her why she used to shun me and now she doesn't. Do you know what her response was? It was the fact that she did not feel comfortable with my way of life in the past. In other words, when I'm married she knows I'm not screwing boyfriends out of wedlock.
What a bunch of BS!
yesterday, i was in wal-mart, taking care of some business at the service desk, while i was there, i thought......i'll just browse a bit and then get home.. before i knew it i was at the check-out with a hotdog griller...!!!!!!
you know it looks kinda like the ones at gas stations, movie theatres, ball parks!!
i barely eat 10 hot dogs a year and thats just when i don't have another choice.. i have never bought anything stupider that i can remember.. forty bucks spent........maybe five bucks back after i keep it five years.......selling it in a gargae sale.. tell us.....do you buy things impulsively and what was your biggest mistake?.
