i just finished another of my famous letters i send to many of my family members... i've been told that i shouldn't come to the family reunion becasue i'm an apostate.
in my letter i stated that i in fact am going to be there stupid watchtower quotes in hand.
the first family member that shuns me will hear me read off every stupid statement that they've ever made... i said that i'm also bringing my bible and that i want someone in the family to show me in it where it states that i don't have the right to question the dictates of men and by my so doing i should be shunned!.

well, there's a brand new kh that was just built on the main road close to where we live.
we have to pass by it every day on our way into town.
now, i have this "lovely" daily reminder that my son is being brainwashed into this cult.

There was a write-up about it in the local paper. Thousands of JW's came from far & near to help build it. They constucted it in about FOUR DAYS! The field next to the property was used as the parking lot for the builders/helpers. The thing I thought was funny was they placed these redundant signs at the entrance that read JW PARKING.

i'm thinking this morning at the enormous effort required to leave the witnesses.
that you all found your way here is amazing.
you are a select group of strong people, who will not allow life or any organization to knock you down.
And YOU deserve acknowledgment too, jgnat, for having the patience, strength, and hope regarding your JW husband. I hope one day the blinders come off his eyes, and he'll be able to finally realize the REAL TRUTH about the WTS.
Warm regards,
Lavendar
i have thought off and on about the jws for years.
my little sister brenda converted about 30 years ago and raised two sons in the truth as she called it.
one boy, mason, is still being raised as a jw (he is 15) and my other nephew, aaron, left the organization on his 18th birthday.
Hi Johannahw!
Welcome aboard; you'll find much support, wisdom, and help here.
Christianity at its most perfect and I found that even the folks there have warts.
Unfortunately, EVERY church has people with "warts". No one is perfect and everyone has some flaws. The important thing is YOUR RELATIONSHIP with God. Don't let the Watchtower Society put a damper on that. They are not serving the True God of the Bible. They are well-meaning people, but very deceived.
Keep reading, seeking & praying.
Warm regards,
Lavendar
hello all, just had an interesting conversation with a p.o.
elder and his wife who were leaving me a incognito invitation to the "follow the christ" convention.i declined the invitation, but told them i had an associated press article i'd like to leave with them about molestation settlements jw's made outside of court.
i asked if they were aware of this settlement.
I think you did GREAT, flipper! You certainly gave them food for thought. And it might be the beginnings of doubt in their minds about the organization. Who knows.....perhaps they were already harboring doubts, and you just added some more.
Good for you!

it's the fourth of july around the world, but it means so much more to americans, as our independence from oppressive rule gives us the freedoms, liberties and rights that man has longed for for centuries.
take a moment, please, to celebrate the freedom of religion that allows jw's to practice their faith with freedom, and allows us to speak freely about what displeases us about their freedom!
all the best.
we all get junk mail, or applications for credit cards we don't want or even asked for.
i got six applications in the mail today.
i've phoned these numbskulls before and told them to stop sending me this stuff, as i don't want their credit cards.
Oh, gosh, Mary; that was TOO FUNNY! My husband and I had a good laugh!

If I were a JW, and they DF'd me.....I'd DO THE DANCE OF JOY!!!!! Unless, of course, I had family members that would shun me.

What happens if you miss a meeting or two? Do the Elders actually call you up or something??
