  Would God permit nuclear war?

  by nuclear war, i don't mean 2 bombs like in japan back in 1945, but something much worse, like half of the population of the us being destroyed in a nuclear conflict.. probably jw's would say, no to the question because they think that their work of salvation is soooo important that god wouldn't permit their destruction..

  "God" doesn't interfere in anything down here anyways! What makes you think nuclear war would be any different from any of the other tragedies that have happened?

  Is there really a "cutt-off" ? How many innocent people have to die before god decides it is too many?

  If I was God I wouldn't let one innocent person suffer and die!! Why wait until the whole population is on the brink of being completly wiped of the face of the earth? Suffering is suffering, you would think the petitions of one starving child would be enough to spur a loving god into action, nevermind the destruction of billions of lives!

  The whole concept makes me sick. There is no such thing as god... and if there is... he/she is most certainly not loving enough to give a rat's a%& what happens to the earth or the people on it.

  I love my given name... if I wasn't living in a french province... my real first name pronounced in french sounds wayyy too close to a very offensive curse word... makes it kinda akward! LOL

  Are you honest when you say your age?

  i know people who don't say their real age, like take off 2 or 3 years.... my mom looks younger than her age, so she sometimes took off a few years.

  gee, i'm just the opposite, i rather say my real age, and wait for a compliment saying "hey you look good for your age".

  how about you, do you ever lie on your age?

  VIVE LA QUEBEC!!!

  Legal drinking age in our beautiful province is 18! I've been carded only once in my bar hopping experience... lucky for me it was about a week after my 18th b-day!!

  My problem isn't being carded, it is being taken seriously at work. I work in the furniture industry... I sell high end furniture by container to stores who then sell it to the public. The vast majority of the people I come in contact with are old enough to be my parents... and often act like it too...

  Oh well, I will be "older" soon enough right?

  I am usually truthful about my age... although I have the reverse problem to most people, I don't want to be younger I want to be older...

  In my line of business it is not to your advantage to be a 21 year old female... I would get more respect, sadly enough, if I was an overweight, 55 year old, balding male...

  The Wedding Saga...Episode 2

  how cruel can these people be??.

  1) my dad informs me this spring that my sister is getting married.. 2) i am of course not informed of the actual date incase i decide to show up.

  3) i am sent a wedding invitation after the wedding has taken place along with a little letter from mom and dad.. 4) i get an e-mail from my mom with the link to the website of wedding photos and gushing dub comments.... "what a lovely family" blah blah blah.

  So what do I do, for the first time in 4 years I write my parents and tell them how much that hurt me... that I am disgusted that they cling to an organization that promotes HATE within family members... that a loving god would never approve of such treatment...

  What does she write back??

  "Krystal...I'm sorry you feel that way....perhaps it was a mistake of me to send you the link. It was definately...not done with the intention of hurting you...I'm sorry if it was bad judgement on my part.

  No individual or organization has tried to hurt you.....you've been hurt by your own choices...I know that does not make the pain any less....but understand that this situation is difficult for all of us....not just you, and it was certainly not our choice to live this way ...as a family divided.

  WTF?! She didn't hurt me with the pictures she hurts me by putting her precious religion before her own FLESH AND BLOOD!!!

  I cannot believe her answer... basically, "It's your own fault you weren't invited"

  once a year, the watchtower society publishes a book with all the statistics they feel necessary to print and show the world, like the total number of hours spent in the field service and how many bible studies there were.. to be perfectly honest, what other statistic should they also include to give a more realistic picture of what's going on in that organization?.

  "the truth regarding Jesus Christ" is a pretty BIG assumption. not only are you boldfaced in presenting your BELIEFS as ABSOLUTE TRUTHS but then you completly disregard the rights of non-christian parents to bring up their children without christian indoctrination.
