Anyone heard of the expanding earth theory?

So what are your kids like? Personal Style?

my daughter, my neice , youngest son and friend all went to a listen to a band.
i don't know what musical catagory to put the band in but alternative rock.

My kids went a little wild after leaving jws. Being from an alternative society, dressing down rather than fashion was cool.
As far as entertainment, I took them to bands and dance events. I ended up being the cool dad for esp my daughters friends, ferrying them around. I took my son o'seas last year and we spent a lot of time dancing together at trance parties in Asia!
How did they end up? My daughter(22 yrs old) is a qualified nurse and has been excepted into medicine at uni. She lives with her boyfriend, a chef. My son is a clean living (finally) level headed 19 yr old who treads lightly on the earth, working in forest regeneration.
I have been working as a youth worker for over 10 yrs and I can tell you, showing unconditional love and being a positive role model for teens has far more power than any words.

Whats the spookiest thing that has happened to you?
by diamondblue1974 ini have had a few experiences which some could be dealt with rationally although even to this day the coincidences seem too convenient; .
mine was on new years day in 1994; i didnt celebrate new years at the same although i was about to start my fade that year; i was ill on new years eve anyway and i had been sleeping when i awoke at precisely 12.13. i couldnt get back to sleep but there was no obvious reason why.. my grandmother was in hospital but she was getting better when i had last spoken to her; i managed to back off to sleep but woke that following morning for some reason really concerned about my gran; just as i was coming downstairs the phone rang and my girlfriend answered it.
i said to her before she got to the phone that it would be my mother with bad news about my gran; i was right on both counts; it was my mum and my gran had died.....at 12.13 precisely..

I guess it's a spooky story...
About 5 yrs ago I smoked a large amount of a drug called DMT. Went into a matrix world and on past my own death. Yeah that's as spooky as I want it!
Managed to survive mentally(I think ha ha) but it took years to clear the last vestiges out of my system.
Actually, it helped me clear a lot of my jw paranoia but I reckon there may be gentler ways!

i was very controlled, and had the choice of letting my identity as "an opposed person" or whatever be known, or to retain my cover as an ordinary member of the public!

It was obvious that the wts's legal team had been all over that show. The program was so careful with the words they used
. I'm sure all of us can remember cases of child abuse in our congs that were whispered about but not to be discussed openly, not to protect the innocent but the guilty.

Sent a chill through me when I heard that evil egotist viv moritz(?) . The memories flooded back of him telling the audience at a convention to act not think, be like a flock of birds, just follow.
Also tears for the poor people who were treated so callously. I am still ashamed to admit my past agreement with this strange religion...

How could Jehovah alter his musical taste so much?
by jaffacake insomeone told me that not so long ago it was to some extent unacceptable to listen to beatles music.
but now it is rap and heavy metal that is distasteful to jehovah.
i suppose it used to be rock&roll in the 1950s, and before that were bing crosby or glen miller the ones singing and playing the devil's music?

An Observation About Life
by JamesThomas inbeing consciously present in this moment of life's expression, being open and meeting with this present moment of reality, being truly with what is actually here without judgments and mental commentary, does not seem to leave much room for beliefs in deities and their shenanigans.
in fact such imaginings only seem to steal away the vibrant aliveness of here.
so, perhaps, it is when we are not that much present with the truth of life, right here, right now, and rather lost in mental interpretations that we feel a need to become involved in the drama of gods and religion.

So much of what I have read here reminds me of the ancient Vedic texts from India.Their first realisation is that there is no god(that's a big call in India) The old scholars went into the forest and meditated on who am I. Going from one layer down to the next. One great realisation was that we are made up of the influence and experience of other humans .
Once that is stripped away......What's left is truly "I"'.
Interestingly, once that state could be attained at will, they often went back to their previous material lives.
Makes more sense than living in a snow cave in the Himalayas.....

belly button ring...
by kittyeatzjdubs inok.....so i went and got my belly button pierced about 3 months ago.
the stupid girl pierced it with a barbel, instead of a ring...i didn't know it had to be pierced w/ a ring until i got my tatoo a month ago and i was talking to the guy about how my piercing wasn't healing...he said, ''did she pierce it with that barbel?
''.....so it's taking forever to heal and it looks kind of nasty sometimes.

I got the inside part of my ear pierced once. Not much circulation there!! It took a year to heal.
May sound dumb but clean it thoroughly each day. Personally I used alcohol and ti tree oil. You get that in the States? Melaleuca? Not the company the real stuff. You'll be fine! Wear it with pride.

Since finding this site a few weeks ago, I have laughed so hard at times, that tears have rolled down my face. Great to mix with people that have been there...
Some of the best laughs have come from jws "defending" the wts and of course undercover christians of differing denominations trumpeting how they and god are in bed together.
