TO DUMB IT DOWN FOR YOU THERE IS NO JEHOVAH OR YAWEH OR YHWH that is the point, they are PAGAN not even remotely 'Christian'. maybe you missed all of that convo at the beginning.
WT IS A SATANIC CULT. A CHRISTIAN FAKE, A FRAUD, A DECIEVER.
There is also no 'YHVH' (and no 'Satan' either).
There's not much benefit in 'teaching' people that entities with the spellings you don't like don't 'really' exist if you assert that only the magical being with the spelling you like is a real thing.

English is different with regards to its default sound for 'j'. most other langs use a different sound, think 'y'. Most other langs say ye ho va, not je ho va reading the same letters.
So? (and, duh)
What language are you typing in??
And how does that make the word Jesus 'okay' but Jehovah 'wrong'?

jeffro - why don't you go and start one ? not against the rules is it ?
Ah... I see it is the concept of analogy that is *lost*.
But to dumb it down for you, insisting that YHVH is 'more correct' than YHWH is fairly banal semantics regarding the available options for transliteration of Hebrew vav into English. Central to the insistence on one phoneme over the other is the claim that we're not actually talking about a fictional character. Names are translated into different languages all the time. It's really not that mysterious.
The Jesus part is ok. The name ''Jesus'' ok too.
Double-standard much? Why is "Jesus" suddenly okay despite the fact that, like "W", there isn't actually a "J" in Hebrew? (That is a rhetorical question, as I'm not interested in religious superstitions about 'ineffible names'.) Fact is, if you want to be dogmatic about 'the' pronunciation of the name of 'god', you should apply the same 'rules' to all names translated from Hebrew.
i know jehovah created all life through his son jesus, recenttly i have been reading about different races of et beings visiting our planet and claiming to be a form of us from the future, i,m just wondering can anyone tell me if there is any scriptural refrences to these beings..
laws must be set, so if the are set someone must set them, we han,nt discoverd yet a way of generating perpetual motion but we can it is not in us to understand the first and the last and humans are the prime example of everything needing to be governed by laws, your last sentence is evidence of that, why not hurt, if there is no law its not good or bad to hurt steal kill rape molest all things are fine
Your response is a corruption of the anthropic principle regarding inanimate processes, with an extra helping of ignorance in regard to the way human culture has developed over time.

Given the number of galaxies in the universe, the existence of life on other planets is considerably more likely than the existence of an eternal magical creator-being, especially the bloodthirsty deity posited by the Abrahamic religions. However, there is no reliable evidence that extra-terrestrials have visited Earth.

Jehovah cannot lie, all scripture is inspired by Jehovah, scripture tell us all things were made through the son hence my belief.
Wow. That's some extremely weak circular reasoning.

Perhaps there should be a thread about the 'equally important' issue of whether the Norse god prefers 'Woden' or 'Wotan'.
i have written an article for my parents.
they are somewhat influential in the org and i am trying to convince them to push for changes to current disfellowshipping policy, not that i hold out too much hope.
anyway, i would like what i have written checked for accuracy.

The commentary on the letter of James was the book that the WTBTS told all of its members to get rid of.
The book has been included in every release of the Watchtower Library CD, including the most recent release. So the claim that JWs were told to get rid of it is false.
