I so understand your anger and frustration. I have a female cousin who is the same age as I am. She never married, has no plans to get married, never went to college, the most she has done is admin work. I am quite disgusted by the fact that the WTS does not see fit to make sure their aged are taken care of; with all their "not apart of the world". Armeggadon has not come and these people will be forced to face life in poverty.

they are over 40 and have little work record, hardly any money and in some instances compromised health issues.
i am angry because these women were waiting for armageddon to come and save them.

update...husband made appt. with the elders, what do you think of this?....
by New light for you inok... so my husband felt bad that the elders wanted to meet with us and he wasn't responding... so he set it up for saturday at 2 even though everyone said dont meet with them.
oh ya, and everyone said not to meet with them at your house, but again, he didn't want to rock the boat.
it's funny, though he was the first one to leave, he's still afraid and doesn't want to "raise any red flags" he's willing to just say "we're discouraged, can you just leave us alone fora while" feel free to yell at him (robert7).. here's the thing.

They are involved in something, but it isn't what people think, but all these things are loosely connected. There are a lot of things for the public to get caught up with, that has a shred or two of truth in it, but just enough to keep people distracted from what is going on. Trust me, that's how they have always been in control. The truth is much bigger than you realize and they will always control the cards or so they think...

I don't really like my sister...
by cognac inshe has the capability of being nice but i never feel like its very warm.
i've tried to reach out to her before but i just have nothing in common with her.
i don't even feel comfortable around her.. because of her personality, the idea of just being in her presence stresses me out.

Don't let it bother you, I have a brother like that, he's always resented me because I am the only girl and he feels I was overly favored by my father. I stand my ground, but we have battled a few times, but it isn't worth it, it's family - you don't choose them, you just learn to live with them or without them. Personally, I just speak occasionally, but I don't let his issues affect me. We have a detached relationship, he always put on the phony JW front, and I laugh at him. My parents or whomever will try the whole guilt thing, "it's family" - that's their deal, not mine.
Don't feel guilty or bad because you don't like a family member, you aren't required to like them, and she's being very mean right now. Confront your feelings and then make a committment to how you will deal with them, that way she doesn't constantly annoy you. You can't change how people are, but once you understand how they are, you can learn to deal with them.

Is being searched by your employer EVERY day legal?
by Gill ini am in the middle of induction training for a new job at a local store that is one of the uk's largest hardware stores.. today we were told it was company policy that every staff member is searched everyday before they leave the shop.
you cannot, under any circumstances leave the store until you have been searched both your bag and person and sometimes you car also searched.. your handbag has to be emptied and searched, your pockets have to be emptied and you have to take off whatever clothes you are told to take off including shoes, roll up your shirt above waist level if you are a woman and loosen the waist band of your trousers.. if i am right, even the police are not permitted to search anyone without due cause and i already feel 'violated' at the thought that i will have to go through this humiliation everyday.
this shop basically sells toiletries, garden stuff etc and insist that half of their theft if from staff.. however, we were also told that shoplifters cannot be stopped unless they have been followed all round the store and their is 100% knowledge that they have stolen something as a stop and search would get the store into terrible trouble.. so, am i correct in thinking that these people are going to violate my human rights every day!.

I like the smell of cigars - go figure. A group of girlfriends and I went out to this place in DC, which is a cigar lounge and we "dared" to order some and it was great fun. Just about every man that walked through the door tried to pick us up - just a fun night. Nothing I would do regularly, but not bad for a fun night out with the gals.

No, never agreed with that part of it. I just never believed and mistreating people just because they thought differently than me or made a mistake. It's unreasonable and totally heartless.
