i was thinking about the different stages we go through when we start to find out the lies of the jw.
i find they are similar to the stages someone might go through when they find out they are going to die soon.
i think this one is obvious.
The stages mirror the five stages of the dying process...just goes to show how devistating and depressing the experience can be.

Well Well, Pastor Russel was a Mason...SO What! Masons are not the devil incarnate. The vast majority are a bunch of fine humanitarian people that certainly include a few pricks just like any organization. Name any group that doesn't. What evidence exists that he was part of some of grand conspiracy that we should be be concerned about more so than any other common group? Most all organizations contain secrets of some sort; it's part of the comradary. I suppose the Womens club, The Elks, The Moose Club, The Amvets, and all other clubs should just disband and publish all their evil secrets and be made illegal.
What pray tell is it that a large majority of people fear or mistrust about them? FYI I am not nor have ever been a member of the Masonic Guild

as much as i hear people say the muslims are peaceful and the extreme nature seen on the news, like what happened today in pakistan, i wonder if there is any hope for them.
have they become so polarized in the power of hatred and revenge, that there is no hope?
can they find peace, or are they just destined to just fight and kill themselves from one generation to another.
sixofnine.....655,000 people? Please supply a reputable source for these numbers. Me thinks you are allowing propaganda to enter your psychi. Certainly the US is not totaly innocent, but have you asked yourself how many lives were saved from the butcher of Bagdad? How many people do you think HE was responsible for murdering? No question that there are some bad people in the US military, but that is the case with any large group of people. The vast majority of US soldiers care for innocent lives and go out of their way to prevent mindless killing. Todays media goes out of its way to find any incedent (such as the Abu-Grade debaucle) in order to bring distain on the military as a whole. Ask yourself, if the media is a fair and balanced entity, why don't they include the number of lives that have been saved in Iraq along with their vastly inflated figures of US "atrocities?" If it weren't for the US military we wouldn't be here right now freely exchanging information - that is a fact!

iam now as what was announced at a recent meeting that iam "no longer a jehovah's witness" all of my family and friends are witnesses so this will ailenate me from all of my friends and family.
but i feel like i don't want to go back.
i really hate the feeling of isolation and shamefulness while iam sitting in the meeting, what's the point of it all.

No organization has the "truth". There are countless religions and religious organiations who claim to be the only source of truth. Be open minded yet skeptical and seek truth for yourself.

2012 is the significant year to watch. The sun completes it's 23,600 year orbit around the galaxy and perfectly aligns with the galactic center. 2012 was predicted to be the end of the world as we know it by the Mayans. Nostradomas found 2012 to be a signifcant year in human history and predicted catastophy for the world. Nibiru, the wandering planet is scheduled to enter the inner solar system and create devistation on a global scale, just as it has done every 3600 years. This event was known to the Sumerians. They wrote about it in the clay tablets (the oldest known written record in existance) they left. The ancient Egyptians also left a detailed record of it's passing in their time and included a warning for future generations about it's devistating effects on the planet. These records were compiled together in the early 1800's along with numerous Druid texts into a book called the Kolbrin Bible. It's available for viewing on the net. Indian prophecy indicates the end of the world in 2012. There is great significance in the 2012 date as illuded to in the Jewish Kabbal. The book of Revelation, though not mentioning a date, gives details of it's effects...the great millstone falling from heaven into the sea, killing a third of the people; "stars"(asteroids knocked out of the asteroid belt by the intruder planet) falling from heaven and much more. It is thought by some that the great deluge in Genesis was caused by this great planetary body passing close to the earth, creating huge mile or more high tsunamis that swept over the land, causing many of the ancients to think the whole world had been covered by water.

the last few months have been very difficult for us.. my husband has been experiencing bullying by his boss at work and his management team.
there is no reason for the bullying....it is just happening.
he is repeatedly being asked into investigations and disciplinary meetings for issues so small that his trade union representatives are at their wits end and have finally decided to call in the head of their trade union and a lawyer to begin going down the road of constructive dismissal.
Many of those bullys that we endured in grammer and high school didn't just wise up when they grew up; they're still around and many of them are in positions of authority. They have the knack of being able to put on a completely different face around their own bosses. These people are truly sick and many of them are also abusers at home. As several other posters have recommended aquire as much documentation as possible; just don't let them know doing it! Trust me, they will find a way to get even! Then if you can't get satisfaction from your bosses superiors with this evidence...sue the hell out of them! Many companies have paid out millions over the past several years for allowing this crap. The way I see it, they had it coming.
