I support anyone who wants to marry, I just don't care to get married myself ;-)

What do you do when a old Boyfriend wants to meet up for dinner........
by whyamihere inwe are just friends and we talk maybe 3 or 4 times a year, just to catch up.
well today, actually 5 minutes ago he said he was going to be in my area with in the next month and wants to have dinner.. i don't see a problem with it.
i haven't seen him in years and it would be nice just to meet up for dinner and some laughs.

If you want to go to catch up on old times then go. If hubby has a problem with it then ask if he wants to go along.
Do the rest of you not keep in contact with friends of the opposite sex? I have several male friends that I would go to dinner with or talk to without feeling the need to be chaperoned.

new member here
by pippy inhi, i just joined this site and thought i would say hi.
my brief history is being raised as a witness, disfellowshiped for being a normal 17 year old, spending 10 years feeling guilty and thinking im going to die and so will my husband and son.
mother and father in it and always run out crying because they think they failed as parents cause none of their kids stayed in it.

Welcome! I think I would go insane if I ever stepped back into a hall again, let alone an assembly. Are your parents shunning you? Or are you considered "inactive"?

Bizarre November 2006 KM
by yakata inthe insert is called "how do i view blood fractions and medical procedures involving my own blood?
" i will attempt to transcribe the more salient points for everyone here.. paragraph 1 (verbatim): the bible commands christians to "abstain ... from blood.
" (acts 15:20) thus, jehovah's witnesses do not accept transfusions of whole blood or the four primary components of blood-namely, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma.

A story that is hard for me to tell

he drank too much all the time and smelled like wine, cheap wine from a box.
) the daddy's boys also grew up.

Wow
by pgwvp ini had no idea there was such a strong support line for ex jehovah's witnesses.
i was raised from birth as a jw, son of the presiding overseer in my congregation.
i was groomed for "great works" according to the elders, and started giving my own talks at the age of 8. my father died when i was 9, and i think that if he hadn't i would still be a witness today.

Welcome! That sounds like such an interesting subject to study.
I've found this board to be very helpful and friendly (have even met some really great people)
You'll have to share your finds with us all!

An anniversary of sorts today
by fullofdoubtnow ini didn't realise it, but trev just told me that today is one year to the date since i first visited him at his home to do some research on the internet about the wts.
i hadn't been going to all the meetings for a while at that time, and the month before i came here i hadn't been at all, but was unsure, despite my doubts, whether i wanted to leave the jws then or not.
i read on quotes, freeminds and this site, and trev printed some stuff for me to read later.
