What do you think of I-MAC?

i have an hp pc right now and thinking of switching to mac.
i saw the i-mac and fell in love with it --- its bucks but it does a ton of stuff.

Hi, in my house my boyfriend has a mac, a cube in fact, i love it, i have a pc, i hate it, pc keeps crashing, needs reformatting, the mac is as stable as stable can be, and who can argue with the interface, and there are so many applications coming out for the osx now, but the real clincher on the new imac is the dvd burner, imagine the possibilites of all the home movies you can burn onto dvd, if i had a few thousand spare that would be the computer i would buy.

JW's and Marriage
by Xena ini am wondering how many jw's stay in a marriage because they have to?
i mean i know there are happy marriages out there (somewhere i am sure), but i have run across several jw wives who are just waiting on their significant other to commet "the act" so they can divorce them and move on with their lives.. divorce has become less of a taboo thing in the org, but it is still frowned upon and people that do divorce, even on the scriptural grounds, are somewhat stigmatized.
so i guess my question is what do you think the divorce rate would be if jw's could get divorced for any grounds with no repercussions?

Yes i agree with you there xena, i stayed for years in a marriage i was unhappy with just because of the "truth", i eneded up doing the "deed" so i could be free, am d/f, and i couldnt be happier.

What did you do during the written review
by truthseeker1 inby far the most boring part of all meetings is the written review.
what kind of stuff did you guys (male and female) do to pass the time.
i either to write computer programs, sleep talk to my wife or sleep in the car.

I looked forward to the written review, i love to use my brain, and besides it always got us a no bible study night before, we had to prepare, i would write all the answers down and then cheat, the classic was my ex husband used to look over at mine so i would deliberately put some wrong answers in just to fix him up

I remember it all to well, it was one cold evening when two of the local elders came over to have a "chat" with me, it was the qorst night of my life, they came to tell me that i was a bad example for the brothers and sisters because i refused to speak with my inlaws, the reason why i refused to speak to them was because their son had molested my niece, and although he was disfellowshipped they continued to associate with him and help him get off from the police, the elders were aware of his molesting as apparently it had happened in the past before to other children by him, the elders could not see my viewpoint at all that my inlaws{my father in law was a ms} were condoning their sons behavior, i will never forget how i cried my heart to them on how bad i was feeling because of what had happened and how they just kept saying god forgives so you should forgive, but the straw that broke the camels back was as they were leaving my house and my husband{Who was also and elder and stuck with them the whole meeting} was seeing them out, they said to him, we feel so sorry for you and for what you have to put up with, needless to say i am no longer married or in the truth.
