I know a couple of people who will complain in private. I know one Elder who will admit in private and with a few drinks "we do not have the truth" but them will say "this is the best religion out there so where am I going to go?"

Did you ever hear any active witness complain or criticize the Org?

it seems to me that all the jw's i knew while going to the meetings, weather they were spiritually strong or weak, never criticized.
they were like real sheep.. i used to always bitch about the length of the meetings and the time of the meetings and so on.....when i drove the brothers back home in my car or talked to them in private.. naturally i would only say this to my closer jw friends or those i knew wouldn't squeal on me.. .

Are some people better off staying in the WTS?

I’ve felt that some people should stay Dub’s because if they left their world would crumble and they might be mentally unstable. Some people need religion or something to believe in so they can ignore the crappy situation around them. Also, some Dub’s can’t afford to leave since their employment or customers are also Dub’s. I knew a Dub whose construction business consisted of 75% customer being Dub’s. How could he afford to leave?

i have a hard time accepting the fact that intelligent men truly beleive the creator has a special arrangement with them and somehow they are being used in a special position because of one scripture about the faithful and discreet slaves.. they should all be locked up in a nut house for beleiving that.

QUANDRY - It's my understabding his assigment is to review DF letters and related appeals. He's told me some interesting stories. Keep in mind, he has NO ideal I'm on this message board or my feelings on the FAKE WTS. Maybe one day I'll share some of his stoires.

Having talked with a couple people at the Corp. Office (Bethel), they are rude. A friend of mine works Bethel and reviews DF letter sent from the Cong. and appeals. I asked him if a DF had ever been overturned on appeal and he said "never". How can Elder be right 100% of the time?????

This is just so sad
by troubled mind insince we have faded from the hall most everyone avoids us except for a couple of young ones that will stop by for a visit .
last night a young woman in her twenties came over we talked about several things, and she brought up that a while back she had seriously thought of suicide .
i asked if there were reasons as to why ?

Listen to her and continue to be a friend. Politics in the KH happen all the time and she needs to understand that. Discourage her from talking with the Elders about this since they will not help.

How many 'real" friends did you ever really have in ther "truth'
by The Lone Ranger insure we got to know a lot of people, we knew a lot more people then the average person, but how many real friends did we ever have?
a friend that we could trust, that we could confine in.
i can say i had just one, bro x and even then i still had to be careful, bro x is an elder now and he tells me that im the only real friend hes ever had, he cant freely talk to anyone.

Two. I've known one since I was very young (he stop going to meeting a few years and we agree about the fake WTS) and another who is an Elder and while he agrees with me 75% of the time regarding the WTS but, his social and family life revolves around the Dub's. Funny thing is about this Elder is that when he and I are in alone he is very negitive about the WTS and the fake people in the Cong's however, he would never leave.

well, hears one you will not hear.
for about five straight years, a friend of mine (whose father was a jerk elder who thought anybody who drank should be df) would leave the assembly at lunchtime each day, go to a bar near the convention, and get drunk out of his mind!!!

His dad would be none the wiser. When I’d ask him where his son was, and he’d say he was an “attendant” somewhere. On more than one occasion, my friend was sent home in a Taxi (cause he was so drunk) and I had to drive him the next day to pick up his car!!! I hate those fate experiences they read at the end of the assembly. What’s your story?????? Please share.

Went to a Public Talk and WT Study, after about 5 yrs away.
by frankiespeakin init was boring,,snooze city, there were room for a bout 200 and they didn't have more than 40 in attendance very few youths mostly older ones(30 and beyound).
i didn't have a clue what the speaker was saying thank god i came a 1/2 late, those poor poor people that have to sit thru such mind numbing drival about how we are to treat people in the congregation and not to be jealous bla bla bla.
the wt the reader was drone the conductor brain dead and every body answered the wt by practically reading their answer word for word from the wt,, it was pitiful,,pitiful.
