Us apostates should help them out with that. We could distribute flyers as they go into the hall that just says: Avoid the dangers of the Internet! Do not go to www.jehovahs-witness.com! Avoid www.freeminds.org like the plague! These sites will poison your minds and your souls. Your eyeballs will fester and puss will run out. The scabs will endure for 40 years as you wander aimlessly in search of somewhere to go besides Jehovah's Witnesses.

DevonMcBride, exactly! The Internet is already the death of this organization. It is a deeply gouged poisoned blade caught between ribs. If the children become aware through the Internet then there is no way the organization can survive another generation.
The GB is in a catch-22, they tell people not to promote any ideas that conflict with what the Org teaches, and they tell them not to harbor private ideas (impossible for a human to achieve). Everyone knows an idea you can't talk about worries you more than an idea you can talk about.

Anyone can submit things, but there are pretty stringent rules regarding maintaining Neutral Point of View, following Style Guides, refraining from posting Original Research (encyclopedias aren't supposed to be primary or secondary sources, they are supposed to reference primary and secondary sources).
They plead with everyone to research the issue THOROUGHLY before making edits or adding content, and there is a rule that any editor can remove unsourced statements at any time. As a matter of etiquette, discussing an edit and your reasons on the article's "Discussion" page (they call it a talk page) is considered very good form—but not absolutely required.
It is best to leave personal feelings behind when stepping into the edit box, though. Hope that helps .

Gumby, I wasn't talking about the ones who are staying in for ties to family. I only meant those whose only reason was fear of men. But thanks for the clarification anyway. Faders are not cowards. Neither are those who stay in and never leave because they cannot bear the thought of losing loved ones. I consider both groups to be very courageous.
In my opinion, cowards are those who know and are afraid of the MEN they know to be hypocrites and false prophets (Deuteronomy 18:20-22).

PoppyR, no, the owners of Wikipedia consider Jehovah's Witnesses to be a fringe Christian movement and a burr under their saddle. Between angry ex-JWs and well meaning—if misinformed—JW zealots they can't seem to get the JW pages to calm down. The project team is working on it, though. There will be a new release of the JW section soon, with many vast improvements over the current structure.
BTW, my article on the Faithful and Discreet Slave was not, in any way, intended to be negative in its presentation of the JW beliefs or history. The facts speak for themselves.

No, the original "contract" (Application to Associate) has not been leaked. Also, it is very important to make sure you only say that they joined the UN/DPI, they did not (cannot) join the UN. JW lamers will jump all over that as a "deceitful lie from an apostate."
