  anyone else sick of stroking certain apologists egos?

  i am quite sure most of you have noticed some anti-atheist threads... some may have noticed the backlash of pro-atheist threads... it's kinda funny to me, seems these threads are being posted by the same people, even though they are not... the problem lies here, these topics reach discussion board infamy by being 15 or more pages long... why?

  because there are one or two apologists, who instead of discussing it like the mature adults they are not, they ridicule and mock... they make their beliefs into fact and make fun of manyone who points out the fact that what they say is not substancial evidence but is only belief... you may even know who in particular i am talking about, but that does not matter... at this point, i am sick of allowing these men to mentally masturbate all over this discussion board.... maybe its time to ignore them since they are only trying to evoke reactions from us????.

  i agree with you all about the ability to be able to just walk away and not post on those threads or to even finish reading them... i personally am all for debate, and enjoy it very very much... the problem is when these idiots come along and decide to berate people for no reason... of course, i reason with them and usually put their backs up against the wall so that their best response usually ends up being "BWAHAHAHAHAA!", but would be more than willing to debate with them if they would actually throw words instead of bwahas back at me... i am open minded enough to realize that both sides could be right, but aparently, some people are not mature enough to allow others to feel their own way! meh, i guess to each idiot there is a village

  How the Religious View Homosexuality

  for people who are still religious, what are your views on gays?.

  for me (an atheist) it goes against my own morality to think of them as sinners or somehow doing wrong, and yet in the bible it teaches that it is wrong.

  it's one of the main reasons i could never go along with the jws.. i'm curious how religious people address this issue.

  personally, i dont see how someone who is morally upright, and is gay can be punished for doing all that is right... i know of many homosexuals who live much cleaner lives than their heterosexual counterparts... some of which decided not to have sex until they were married... if religion condemns them for acting out their preferences and yet being great people... well religion can f* itself

  What is your biggest problem with the JW religion?

  if i had to be tied down i would say disfellowshipping.

  totally unnecessary and i really think it spans itself into a lot of other wt policies/mindsets.

  ok, so i have another thing to chalk up to the watchtower.

  this weekend my dad told my husband that my mother actually asked my dad to divorce her because she didn't want to be married to an unbeliever and he wasn't going to get baptized.

  not so much the story my mom told me all those years ago..... .

  just curious, would you be happier if he were to stay with your mom and be miserable? i think he did what was best for him, im sorry that it affected you so negatively!! and yes, you can probably blame the WTBTS, but you can also blame your mom for that one, as i remember, they only allowed divorce due to adultery or abuse

  i don't know how you feel but i am pleased to be part of a community that cares about fellow members.

  although we may not know individuals in person, we get a "sense" of many of our fellow posters especially if we have been here for any length of time.. several of our fellow posters have experienced terrible tragedies that result in financial nightmares.

  i don't know how all of you feel, but i would rather give directly to someone in need than through a charity.
