  When brothers don't reach out

  all this talk about privileges being taken away, such as microphone duty, got me to thinking about how some brothers are viewed who aren't reaching out.. my husband would have fallen in this category.

  i got involved with the jws first and looking back i think he just followed along to keep peace in our marriage.

  he (gladly) followed me out too.. when we were jws, it wasn't a priority to him to become a ms or elder.

  In my old congregation we had mostly old, codgidy elders who seemed, no DID, relish in hindering most brothers who tried to "reach out" for greater kingdumb privileges.

  Your BEST was NEVER enough.

  HOWEVER, if you were the elders' son, you somehow made it to MS. ( Of course, that is taken away once the MS is caught "messing around" on his brand new wife. )

  But as in any high control group or pirymid scam one is mostly rewarded for their loyal service. I guess I did'nt PUCKER UP enough for the cult of the jehovah's witnesses.

  one of my best friends, an ex-elder, swears alot.

  years ago i never would have sworn.

  but they say bad assocaiation spoils useful habits, so what the -----.

  cnn.com was reporting about many arrest in washington d.c. concerning imf protesters.

  somtimes i notice that if there are similar events news agencies will try to cover them in the same segment.

  here's hoping the major news casters will do a washington/imf protester, silentlambs/n.y.

  Here's hoping the major news casters will do a Washington/IMF protester, SilentLambs/N.Y. sort of thing. Or SOMTHING that will get some national exposure.

  the local needs part dealt with this need.

  too many are saying we don't want to confide in the elders and let them shepherd us.

  perhaps, if the elders realized that they are nothing but a pain in the butt, they would just leave everybody alone!

  But if you don't trust in the elders' "guidence" then your NOT trusting that the elders are "lead" by Gods' Spirit.

  And if you don't trust that they are lead by Gods' Spirit then you don't have faith in the governing bodys' appointment by Jesus Christ.

  And if you don't have faith in the governing bodys' appointment by Jesus Christ then YOU MUST BE AN APOSTATE!!! and sooo OUT YOU GO !!!

  You BETTER trust the elders, or you know what's gonna happen to you!!!

  The orgs a BIG TIME cult. I hope it will be exposed for all that it is.

  Elder LIES to Downey, California Reporter

  dungbeetle and brymichmom delivered a stuffed lamb to the downey, ca kingdom hall at 12116 woodruff avenue today.

  present were a reporter and a photographer from the downey patriot newspaper.

  while we were placing the lamb at the front door, an elder approached us and asked us why we were there.

  My wife's been to that hall. Probably knows the elder who lost his cool there.

  He he. Wish I could have seen the exchange.

  This just goes to show you how insulated dubs are in this country. If this elder could not "hang" under a little scrutiny, imagine if a whole bunch of reporters or protesters showed up at the halls front door. He'd freak!

  The gb teaches their followers to be like that tho.

  Letter from society

  after the wt study yesterday, the conductor read a letter from the society about the subscriptions.

  i knew that they had cancelled the subscriptions to the magazines, but now they have discontinued almost all forms of subscriptions, i.e.

  watchtower/awake on tape, large print wt, etc.

  I like how Flip interprits the WT situation. No sacred, religious descriptions of the WT cult, just corporate/businesslike terms used. The org is just that, a corporation. It uses the cult of the jehovahs witnesses to maintain it's corporate solvency, thats all it does. I stopped thinking of the cult in religious terms awhile ago. Now, to me, everything they say or do is decided in a board room, with lawyer suits hanging around influencing ALL decisions.

  If the wtbts is trouble, it's due to shrinking of the cult of the jehovahs witnesses. Thats where the orgs paycheck comes from. The org will have to file for bankruptcy if it's "paycheck" is hit too hard.

  AMBER ALERT for JW Children\blood tran?

  i heard somthing on the radio and wanted to throw this out.

  here in california an amber alert was just issued for a young girl who has a mother that was just released from custidy.

  she apparently has the child and the mother is thought to be delusional,( she thinks god is giving her orders and stuff, kinda like the gb :) ).. i know the amber alert is state wide but it may also be nation wide, i don't know.. but here's the rub, the alert was issued on what is a domestic problem, not a criminal situation.

  I know the Amber Alert is state wide but it may also be nation wide, I don't know.

  But here's the rub, the alert was issued on what is a domestic problem, not a criminal situation. Whomever issued the alert felt the safety of the child was in jepordy.

  Question: Could an Amber ALert be issued on a JW child in need of a blood transfusion who is being "hidden" from non-JW family members?

  The reason being the childs life is in danger. What do you think?

  Sorry I don't have more information on this, it's the morning and I'm still half asleep. :)
