  One more question.........."Worldly" ...

  why does the wtbts quote and lean upon "worldly" literature?

  instead of their prayerful consideration to god, and 'divine' inspiration from their governing body?

  i thought we were counseled to stay away from all that is of this world.. one example here, cross referencing; cyclopedia of biblical, theological and ecclesiastical literature, mcclintock and strong.

  Cassi,don't over-analyze this one.They use whatever suits their purpose.Also,I imagine the occasional quote(no matter if it's in context)from outside literature would serve to make them look a little more open minded to outsiders or new recruits.

  i am writing to express my concern for your welfare, both physically and even more importantly, spiritually.. i know that you have long resented me and any help in a spiritual way that i have tried to help.

  the resentment goes way back and to tell you the truth, i don't know why you have felt this way.

  Bush briefed on hijacking threat before September

  washington (cnn) -- president bush's daily intelligence briefing in the weeks leading up to the september 11 terror attacks included a warning of the possibility that osama bin laden's al qaeda network would attempt to hijack a u.s.-based airliner, senior administration officials said wednesday.

  but, the officials said, there was no speculation about the use of an airplane itself as a bomb or a weapon, and no specific, credible information about the possibility of a hijacking of any sort.

  hijackers took over the controls of four planes on september 11, 2001. two of those planes plowed into new york's world trade center, another jetliner nose dived into the pentagon and the fourth aircraft crashed into pennsylvania woodlands after passengers tried in vain to overcome the terrorists.

  Come on Cello,what would you have had him do?Scream and dive under the podium?Say "Excuse me kids but our nation is under attack,I've gotta run"?He handled it well.

  As to warnings or threats,they get those everyday.Our whole country would be shut down constantly if we hid from every single one.That would weaken our nation as much as an attack.

  Guess I should expect this reaction here,though.Obviously,some folks are still carrying around the fear and mistrust that the watchtower bred in us.
