More and more emphasis on the evils of the internet and how it must be avoided by "spiritually strong" witnesses. Only 6 people were baptized and the whole auditorium just had an overall "dead" feeling!! Had to go because of family, but oh how I hated every waking moment I was there.

JW husband very sad
by Rebirth ini have been out of jws for about three years, husband still goes and brings out two young girls.
he has been really withdrawn lately, eating less, not interested in sex.
i thought he was moping because i recently had a birthday party for our young daughter and because of halloween activities.

Very difficult situation that you are in and I can relate. My wife is a die-hard dub, me?....I am a life long dub that is slowly fading. We have two small children and she insists they be indoctrinated thru meetings, field service and "bible" study despite the fact that I have brought to her attention some of the many contradictions and failed prophecies of the wts. She has labeled me a closet apostate and says that she would respect me more if I just stood up and let everyone know how I really felt about the "truth". I have chosen to stick this out because I love my family and my many friends that are still trapped in this prison.
Time is our greatest ally!! If you value your relationship with your husband and don't want to lose him, just be patient and continue to reassure him of your love, which is what I do with my wife everyday. Give the wts the opportunity to hang themselves. All of their lies, half-truths and contradictions are starting to bite them right in the a**. It won't be very much longer before the morale of the r&f dub is completed destroyed by the wts' continued infringement on their time and personal interests, and by all those unfulfilled expectations.
Be strong, I truly wish you the best.

Bible Contradictions?
by Aequitus ini was visited by jehovah's witnesses three times, and i decided to attend a meeting of theirs (which was this morning).
i had brought a page of questions because i was expecting more of a discussion.
this was not the case and i left after two hours.

Here's one that I have noticed for some time.....
Moses supposedly wrote the book of Deuteronomy. The wts supports that "fact" by listing him as the ONLY writer both in the table of the books of the bible found in the back of the NWT and the All Scripture Is Inspired Of God book. Yet at Deut. 34:5, 6 we encounter a very big problem. Asked an elder once about this and he said he would get back to me.........still waiting!!

John Denver???......Shakira????...never heard them mentioned in that way, but I do remember folks talking about Earth, Wind and Fire attempting to do a levitation act during one of their concerts, failing, and then making an announcement that all jw's were to leave the arena immeadiately!!!

Thanks everyone for the responses! As I stated at the start of this thread, I KNOW that this problem is worldwide and affecting many, many congregations. It is just comforting to know that I am not alone in seeing things as they really are, especially when I share my home with a wife who continues to see the wts thru rose-colored glasses.

Katrina Relief Quickbuilds
by roflcopter inso i had a jw friend stay at my house the past few days after getting back from doing a couple months of work in new orleans on quickbuilds.
he told me all about whats going on there, etc.
but one thing really ticked me off, and its amazing the money the wts is making offa this.. from what he told me is the wts is quickbuilding new homes for all the jw's who lost their homes in the hurricane and collecting the insurance payments that the homeowners recieve.

Hello All,
A few months back a letter was read to the congregation from the society. What stood out to me about the letter was that the first thing mentioned was how many kh's had been damaged and needed to be fixed or were in the process of being fixed. Last, and definitely least, mention was made of how many dub's had been displaced and how the friends from various states had shown "brotherly affection" by taking these ones in and providing for them.

Here is a story that circulated around my area(NYC) for a time back in the early 80's...
Two sisters(why is it always the sisters?) are out in service and approach a door. They ring and a man answers the door and he is angry. He tells the women to get away from his door and never come back. Before the sisters could make a retreat, the man grabs one of the sisters bible and rips it in half right in front of them!!! When the sisters related the experience to the elders they were told that it had to be demons that gave the man that kind of strength and from then on that apartment was registered as a dnc(do not call).
So there you go folks...wanna get rid of some dubs at your door on a Sat. morning? Just brush up on your bible ripping technique!!!

How about this one....
A sister(working by herself for some reason), knocks on the door of a killer or rapist to offer the good news. She makes her presentation and talks for some time with the man, gives him some literature and leaves. As she is leaving, a patrol car passes by the house and recognizes the man as a suspect they have been looking for. The officers jump out and arrest the man on the spot. As they are on their way to the precinct, one officer asks the man why he didn't attack the woman who was talking to him.. The man's reply........? "How could I when she had those two large men standing there with here!"
