  i went over to my parents' house for lunch today and played a game of cribbage with my younger sister.

  my mom was at the sink washing vegetables or something, and she looked over and asked what the origin of cribbage was.

  my sister, little devil that she is, looks back and says all innocently "oh, definitely pagan worship.

  a top us official has described the suicides of three detainees at the us base at guantanamo bay, cuba, as a "good pr move to draw attention".

  colleen graffy told the bbc the deaths were part of a strategy and "a tactic to further the jihadi cause", but taking their own lives was unnecessary.

  three tonnes... that is three times the size of the device used in the 1995 bombing in oklahoma city.

  just imagine how many people would have been killed if the authorities did not catch these terror suspects!

  question for y'all--do you think that the person on the writing committee who writes something like: "it is reasonable to conclude, then, <wild speculation>" suffers any kind of ill effects?

  70 years and Zechariah

  the nail in the coffin of the society's understanding of the seventy years appears to be zech 1:12 and 7:1. both of these verses refer to the 70 years as ongoing rather than past events.

  i'm not sure how anyone can claim the society has a "holistic" view of the 70 years when they haven't even dealt with these two verses.. i should say they haven't dealt with them at all, there is one article for each of those verses, but, iirc, the argumentation was very weak.

  anyone happen to have those references off hand?.

  conductor: "as food shortages become more and more common as the time of the end advances, they will make excellent field service points since they were predicted by the bible.

  why jehovahs witnesses are right for sticking to the bibles chronology of 607 bce for the destruction of jerusalem.

  arguments for 587 bce are scripturally flawed, causing four bible prophecies to fail.

  i urge all people in the usa and other nations to participate in this activity.... .

  we all know that it is a sin for an islamic male to see any woman other than his wife naked, and that he must commit suicide if he does.

  so next sunday at 4:00 pm eastern time, all women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists.
