Some friends of mine named their baby girl Hephzibah. I personally love the name but it's received a mix response. Sitting in her high chair with food all over her face, she doesn't really look like a Hephzibah, LOL.

Cadillacs, Thanksgiving, Cowboys, Firearms, Disney, Hollywood, Baseball, Wearing a check shirt and baseball cap?
There are a lot of things that come to mind. Not entirely relevant maybe but I've had many business dealings with Americans. One thing that has always impressed me is that they see opportunity rather than risk. It's the reverse here. So I suppose the pioneer spirit that built the country is still alive and well.

A seafood restaurant had a sign in the window that read,
"Big Lobster Tales, $5 each."
Amazed at the great value, a man stopped in and asked the
waitress, "Five dollars each for lobster tails -- is that
correct?"
"Yes," she said. "It's our special just for today."
"Well," he said, "they must be little lobster tails."
"No," she replied, "it's the really big lobster."
"Big red lobster tails, $5 each?" he said, amazed. "They
must be old lobster tails!"
"No, they're definitely today's."
"Today's big red lobster tails -- $5 each?" he repeated,
astounded.
"Yes," she insisted.
"Well, here's my five dollars," he said. "I'll take one."
She took the money and led him to a table where she invited
him to sit down. She then sat down next to him, put her hand
on his shoulder, leaned over close to him, and said, "Once
upon a time there was a really big, red lobster..." -

The end is so near because.....
by OnTheWayOut inthe governing body allows the running rumor to gather speed, and pushes it along.
that "armageddon is so close, we really mean it this time.
what is their advantage in doing so?.

Maybe they want the end to be near because they're so bored with being Jehovah's Witnesses. All those pathetic rules, mind numbing meetings, dreaded field service and embarassing new light. The alternatives are Paradise Earth or become "worldly". Ooh scary. The first one sounds nicer. Please let it be very soon. It's tough being a JW when your religion is years past its sell by date.

"yaddites".
all here at the church of ju-jitsu janissaries of saturday saints, or yaddites as we are more commonly known, are dedicated to the concept of everybody being equal in the eyes of yad, our father and lord of all.

Aniron - sounds interesting. Do you have any magazines? I'm happy to pay you for one - to cover the cost of printing so to speak.

my profile
by BlackSwan of Memphis ini live in mi and was raised a jw.
i left officially in 05, but my thinking had evolved before then.. if you're at this board, you're probably asking questions, or have asked questions and realized that the answers are not what you had thought they were.. if you're looking at this profile, you probably read one of my posts.. i suppose there is only one thing i would want anyone to know:.
it won't replace the years you believe you lost to the organization.. live your life that you have now and enjoy it.. often this means making a new life.
