  Brother, Sister

  the witnesses refer to each other as "brother" or "sister.

  " this is supposedly because they are a "spiritual family" and this is supposed to encourage that feeling.. but how often did you refer to your biological brothers and sisters by their title?

  when i was playing in the yard with my little brother i wasn't yelling "catch the ball, brother _______!

  Just realised I used their use of brother and sister against them the other day. An elderly female JW aunt of mine was rushing around sorting the flowers out for the memorial this week. I asked her why none of her younger "sisters" could help her. Just got an old fashioned look of course. Sarcasm is so rarely appreciated.

  we have been told that the announcement that "we are no longer of the jehovah's witnesses" will happen at the meeting this evening.

  so i will be celebrating tonight!

  lol.... in all seriousness, it seems like any other friday, but inside i feel like this is a big step!

  another sick jw is finally brought to justice (no thanks to god's chosen ones) after raping and molesting children for four frigging decades.

  as per the article below, obviously one of his victims told the elders that they had been molested and obviously the elders did nothing about it.

  'sorry, but did you have another eye witness to brother cockerill raping you?

  Unbelievable - and they didn't catch him until he was 78. That's bizarre in itself.

  Don't know why they're sticking him in prison either. They should make firelighters out of him so he can at least be of some use.

  i used to post a lot on here but rarely do these days.

  i was asked by a friend today to give her some questions for a dub she's meeting tomorrow.

  he's an arrogant one who says he can answer any question she has and consequently (haha) demonstrate that it's the truth.

  Thank you everyone. I think I may be back in the swing now. More Dubs seem to be creeping into my life right now. New girlfriend's father is having a "bible study", a good friend is engaging with them (hence this thread), and the ones in my family strangely seem to have "gone soft" of late and could be "vulnerable to a takeover." So who knows they may have a chance for a normal life one day.
  Great suggestions here and lovely to see old faces and fonts, such as Coco, Terry, Oompa, cameo and Purps. A warm welcome to djnoyze too. Your site is very interesting - cheers.

  last time i went to cvs pharmacy, they had a big a sale sign for this haircolor for men.. do men really care if the are getting grey hair?

  for women, the pressure is to do every thing you can to hide it, if your hair starts.

  to turn grey.

  Our TV ads here for that product are really funny.

  One shows these two little girls encouraging their single father to go out and find a new woman aided by newly dyed hair.

  The other is a daughter getting her father to dye his hair to give him a better chance at a job interview.
  Maybe I'll use it if I'm after a new job.

  Brother Wobble how you doing? Yes we have mutual (Kent) past acquaintances don't we?
  And yes - a good question.
  Thing is like I told my friend - it's difficult to know where to start and what to choose. What they believe is such a house of cards. "Horses for courses" I suppose.
