John why don't you bust the old timer out of jail?
In your parts, don't you just tie some rope between the bars of the jail house and your horse's saddle, whip the horse's ass, and hey presto he's a free man?
(spits in spitoon)
i kind of like this guy.

i've been doing a bit of thinking... (probably a dangerous thing, i know).
i have been 'out' for a very long time - and so have not looked at any wtbts books or magazines in a very long time.. recently, i went to a group on facebook - where there were posted a few drawings that have appeared in wt publications through the years.
i recognize one or two (one purple one from the 'paradise' book).. the one thing that stands out to me - now - is that the men, after the big 'a' are nicely dressed... slacks, shirt, pull-over perhaps... but no neckties.. so.
Well spotted Ninj. Christendom must have cross/tomahawk transformers.
he was 51. we had not been close in the past few years.. he suffered from a rare ailment called sarcoid.
it can afflict several organs of the body, but in his case, it affected his brain.
it caused swelling, and subsequent issues from that.
Jeff sorry to hear about your loss buddy. It's good to see you focussing on the good times you had with him and imagining him smiling at your choice of clothes. I can appreciate how tough it's going to be having to go back to the hall, but it's between you and your bro-in-law.
I wish now that I had acted on my impulse to stop over and say hello a few weeks back. But I didn't.
So many people say this kind of stuff after a bereavement, and the guilt this brings can exacerbate the pain. Forget about that and square him up by paying your respects and celebrating his life. Dwelling on the past doesn't change the past.
Take care

Jim you're also possibly right when you say that neckties won't make it through Armageddon®.
The guys in this illustration look as though they've had their ties taken off in a flash by the same power that's wasted the church.
i have posted this on another forum as well.
this thought 'dawned' on me and i would like to hear your take on it.. .
the gilead school has a tour of the un in the first week or two on the course.
Interesting angle Agent Smith. As with a lot of things Dubs do, it's possibly all about show. In other words they can go on and on about how they wouldn't go into a church because it's false religion™ but they can't really make a public point so easily by shunning the UN.
i wince when i hear how many of you ex-jw's have finally woke up after serving the watchtower society for 10, 20, 30, even 40 years!.
i realize that was because before the internet, there wasn't much information available to research the j.w.
"religion", so it was easier for the j.w.
Hi Hubert.
Slightly going off on a tangent here but although the internet didn't help me, as it was practically non existent when I exited, I'd never appreciated how the Borg so devastated peoples' lives. The net has given me new vigour to "anti-witness" and has given me the information and knowledge to do so effectively. But Steve summed it up - "Availability of information and willingness to consider it are 2 very different things." If you finally escape though, then you can become a far more effective apostate imo.

whatever that word means to you, its probably something youve been chasing for a while.
by now, youve read about scrambling to the top of your career ladder, how to get the partner of your dreams, how to achieve your goals.
Thanks sixofnine. Procrastination is my big failing. I keep meaning to get a book on how to stop procrastinating.
If there's an author who's written a book about that subject, he must lose so much potential revenue due to his target audience not getting around to ordering the book (I would imagine).
yahoo and ibm announce job cuts..
Badboy have you heard that a major dog food supplier has called in the retreivers?

Jim you're wearing what looks like a dinner jacket in your avatar. Doesn't that bow count as a tie?
I like dressing up in a DJ, (u.s. Tux?) and I for one will be hoping for the odd formal gathering in the new system™.
