That's true. The assembly hall I used to attend was quite small so there would only be 5 or 6 congregations attending. I'd forgotten about the A, B and C sections of the circuit, so this would be only one section.

Circuit Assembly, District Assembly, Special Assembly Day....what is the difference?

The Circuit Assembly and Special Assembly Day are both gatherings of the congregations that make up a "circuit" (usually about 5 or 6 congregations). A Circuit Assembly is an annual 2 day event, the Special Assembly Day is an annual 1 day event.

The District Convention (not Assemby) usually goes for 3-4 days (also once per year) and depending on facilities available and the number of witnesses in the area, may attract 1,000 - 30,000 people.

so, hubby and i actually went to a mtg this week.

during the bookstudy, an elder asked who would benefit from something scripturally.

i actually raised my hand and said, "anyone who applies it"... he said, "that's true, but more specifically"... then, of course somebody raised there hand and said "jws".... what an a$$.... i'm on facebook and have befriended some jws.

When complete strangers are more important than family. They can find time to preach for 10 hours plus each month to people who don't want to know them but to put aside some quality time for a family member in need is just too much.

was i in rehab for alcohol addiction or jwd addiction!?!?

!......no computers or cellphones allowed so i have been awol awhile..... ya, i finally made my self sick enough on booze to realize i was really sick and tired of being sick and tired....so checked myself into rehab without any planning at all and while wife was out of town on a family retreat...it was a a very desperate moment in my life, and i was extremely physically and emotionally sick....i was so desperate i took zero time to reseach where to go, but called an old school friend who said rehab had saved his life and he made the calls and actually took me and helped me check in to the place he went to 5 years ago.
