At least your Mom listened, thats a good sign, right!?
Maybe your Dad will listen and just not tell you he did....
i put together a cd of music a while back that explained some of my feelings and gave it to them.
my mom listened to it and asked me questions.

i will be very honest and say, "i currently do all of these things"!!
) fine: this is the word women use to end an argument when they are.
right and you need to shut up.. .
I have to admit, I do all of those. But now my husband is on to me.
"toe the line" ---- like soldiers lining up in formation, their toes are in line, dress-right-dress.
heil the furher!
"tow the line"--- means nothing like it---- means nothing really..
Well I had no idea. I thought it was tow the line too. Good to know.
mine- popular mechanics, this old house and maybe a sunset.
its my loobrary
LOL!!
My husband has the Bathroom Readers Institute Fast Acting Long Lasting Bathroom Reader. Its a giant book of all sorts of weird facts, news stories, funny headlines etc. He got it for Christmas.
just wanted to wish rockhound & little bo peep a very "happy 42nd anniversary!!!".
we love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
love, lady liberty & the black pearl.
WOWZIE!!!! Happy anniversary you two lovebirds.
i was just going through my cds and unapcking them and noticed that i have way more film scores than anything else.. particular favourites have to be:.
1) the mission - ennio morricone - beautiful and moving.
2) hannibal - hans zimmer - haunting and with a stunning opera piece which i love.
I love the Amelie and Frida soundtracks. And I have been listening to my Greys Anatomy soundtracks I got for Christmas all the time.
i have read of some people's bitterness because they were denied the opportunity to go to college.
during the 60's and 70's the society really discouraged any education other than what was necessary.
since the end was so near, especially around 1975, anybody that decided to go to "higher education" was considered very weak and unbalanced.
I really wish I had gone to college straight out of high school. I will be going back this year, but it is going to be complicated now with two kids, a house to run, a husband to boss etc. I should have gone when life was easier to manage.
My parents did not encourage or prepare for college for my brother or myself, although my brother did get to go to college and has a great job now. They are encouraging now that we are out though. I did not have that much motivation to go howevr, because a few years after high school I started working as a makeup artist, which is what I really wanted to do, and it did not require college, so I settled into it. So I can;t blame not going entirely on JW and Ma and Pa.
i wanted to get married mainly for you know what finally after all the crap that happened in my early tweenties i gave up.
now a lady is bugging me to date her i want to but, i am so screwed up right now from all the other girls i tried to persuit, and she has kids to boot which i am basicaly afraid of.
not because they are bad mainly because of my past and the fact i am a not sure of myself as a mature adult.
Im with crumpet on this one. Trust your gut, if you are not ready, don't push it. And she is right..being single can be such a great time in your life. Try not to be consumed with who you are going to date next, just take time to be by yourself.
That poor baby. What a tragic start to a life.
I hope she is at peace now, and with her son.
i was just curious-did any of you on this forum know each other while you were both still active j-dubs?
i mean as friends or acquaintences that you only knew as jws, not family members.
were you in the same congregation together?
Lets see....I used to be in the same cong as Lady Liberty and Black Pearl, and just recently found out I know Mavie!!! That was pretty weird.
