Only Jehovah's Witnesses
by Yvonne A ini'm just new to this internet stuff and am studying with the jehovah's witnesses at present.please don't take my lack of knowledge as cheek.
i just want to know if it's meant to be only jehovah's witnesses using this site.
i fully intend to become baptised but was wondering if there's any security to prevent people who shouldn't be using the site and are maybe abusing it from doing so.

wife given permission new union with lover without husband's permission
by belu ini am married to a jw woman who lives in the philippines.
divorce is not possible there so she is seeking an annulment of our marriage.
in order to make sure she followes true with the annulment i have asked her not to be with another man until the annulment is final.

My ex wife wanted to remarry, so she told them she had "scriptual grounds."
They listened to her, and gave her permission to remarry in the hall. They never bothered to contact me. I called them, more to piss everyone off more than anything else, to let them know she did not have grounds.
They responded that they knew that I was inactive, and at least she was making an effort to go to meetings etc. That being the case, what I had to say was completely irrelevent. Even if it were true.
Bottom line, the elders will do whatever they want, whatever is easiest.

The plaintiff in this case, along with his family, are going to have major credibility issues. They have already been caught lying, and the defense will rip into them at the trial.
I am not convinced he is guilty.
Not yet anyways.

Would Michael Jackson be in all this legal trouble if he stayed a JW?
by booker-t inas you posters know my mom has been a "devout" jw for over 40 years and just won't bend when it comes to the faults of the wts.
i have talked until i was blue in the face for over 10 years since da'd myself in 1993 but just can't crack my mom.
well she made another ridiculous comment to me the other day in her attempts to get me "reinstated" back as a jw.

by NoAnswers inhey guys this is my first post just wanted to say i get df`d today .. its a bummer ......the 16 th i had my judicial commite.
if anyone can give me some good vibe il apreciate it.... i been shunned my all my fam.... thank god i have my wife to support me (df`d also ) .

You will find many similar experiences, and people who care here.
I firmly believe the WTS promotes by their actions the destruction of friends and families if one does not abide by their strict man made rules.

Is country music more approved than any other for a witness?
by wordlywife inmy husband has recently started listening almost exclusively to country.
occasionally we would listen to it before, but every time i get in a car he has driven or we are riding he has it on, when before we always had classic rock on.
i don't mind country music, but this recent change of listening habits in light of his having commenting priveledges back again makes me wonder if listening to anything but country is frowned upon by wt ordinances?

I remember an elder telling me that listening to Elton John may not be appropriate, being that Elton is gay.
I had another elder go through my record collection, and recommend to my parents which albums to destroy.
My mom went as far as scratching the songs on the album, of those that were not appropriate. One album, really not that bad at all, got 9 songs destroyed out of 10. What sucked though, was that it was tough to only scratch that one song. Usually she would miss a little bit and screw up a perfectly good song next to it.

How many "real friends" did you have in your congregation?
by JH inmost congregations have about 80 to 120 people.
out of that, how many could you consider being a "real friends"?
personally, not one of them was a "real friend".

Out of the hundreds that I knew, I only speak to a very small handfull to this day. Even really good "friends" I never see these days, and I am not df'd.
