  one of the most signficant influences that helped me get free from the organization is the novels of ayn rand.

  i had a very long fade and at some point during my "fade" i discoverved any rand.

  i have read "the fountainhead" and "atlas shrugged" numerous times.

  what evidence is there of rutherford's legal training?

  answer: rutherford used throughout his life the words "to wit" in his talks, speeches, and watchtower articles!.

  i do not know of anyone else who used those words to that extent.

  a good friend of mine is a former jw.

  she is married to an active jw and her children are still jws.

  her husband has demanded that they discuss why she is no longer willing to go to meetings, etc... she is wondering what subject would be the best to approach him with first.

  MY MEMORIAL EXPERIENCE

  strange no one came this year.

  no elders, pioneers or anyone to invite me to the memorial.

  i didn't go to the last 2 being that i haven't been to the meetings now for a few years.

  Pink slips at Bethel

  does anyone still have any friends at bethel?

  it seems that there is a massive layoff at bethel in all three american complexes.

  the layoff is supposed to affect everyone between the ages of 35-50 or maybe 60. i feel sorry for persons who chose to stay there, they gave up going to college, possible job offers or making a decent amount of money, having children, the list can go on and on.
