kentucky governor unveils plans for creationist theme park complete with full-sized ark.
.. a joint project between beshear and answers in genesis -- a christian organization that also built a similar attraction, the creation museum -- the park will reportedly cost at least $150 million and create 900 jobs, according to the news release.. beshear's spokesperson kerri richardson declined to comment beyond what was in her office's news release on the project.. the amusement park, named ark encounter, will include all the modern recreation amenities, including: a full-sized wooden ark, a "walled city much like was found in ancient times, a replica of the tower of babel with exhibits, a first-century middle eastern village" and even outdoor parking.
Dang it, I want to see some dead and bloated floating corpses in that amusement park!
I mean, thats what it really was all about, exterminating humans, so why leave that part out?
It blows me away the amount of childrens books, toys and decoration that represent Noah and the ark, all because its a story with lots of animals, it's disgusting.
one of the most fascinating aspects of the jw religion is the profound fear of demons (evil spirits) it engenders in its members.
i just wondered whether it's something that is used by the leadership as a means of control, or whether it's simply a concept that grew legs and took off on its own?
first, i believe in evil spirits.

i am constantly reading, studying, looking up more stuff on the internet, perusing old threads, keeping up with "new light" on jwn.
i am in the middle of "in search of christian freedom" (having just finished steve's cultmind control book) and i am finding it so argumentive doctrinally that my head is spinning.
i found myself this evening with my laptop next to my desktop (all the better to reference back and forth, m'dear) the wt library cd-rom open to "the modern history of jehovah's witnesses" in twenty four parts, with a plethera of "rainbow" books open for easy reference while i was listening to an old fred franz discourse at dodgers stadium!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I did it too.
I still have my JW lit, plus now a large collection of non JW lit, enough to fill several large bookcases.
I bet i have more versions of the bible then 90% of the Christians on this board.
It also got to the point I had to start a file cabinet devoted exclusively to my findings.
For a long time, nothing interested me more then understanding how I, and so many other people, could be so utterly deceived.
It took me a while, but I don't feel the need to research every little thing anymore,
but I still got my "jw" library.
taking a quick peek back at some of his videos he put up on youtube, .
he really did a fantastic job in exposing how the watchtower organization operates, .
exposing its deceivingly decisive corruption.. which one in your opinion out of the many he put up was his pointedly best and why ?.

yesterday i began reading friedmans "who really wrote the bible" and it is a deeply satisfying experience.
i was looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the book, in particular, i am very interested in how it conflict with the typical wt explanation of how the bible came to be (which i find very confusing; i think its very hard to figure out how, exactly, the wt view the history of this periode), how usefull it has been in terms of reasoning with jws, and experiences in general.. to kickstart, here is what the book has given me:.
i have generally looked at the bible in a way i now see as quite naive, namely as a collection of more or less conflicting stories that made very little sence.
That book and "misquoting Jesus" by Bart Ehrman, are must reads for anyone even remotely interested in the bible.
i don't know what it is ...... but it's becoming disconcerting.
he's going to just have to sit outside the door and wait.
i know it will be dissappointing to him , as he purrs like crazy while gathering in the experience.
Mine doesn't because I always close the door. But she waits out there, scratching frantically and crying pitifully, as soon as I open the door shes fine again and doesn't even bother going into the bathroom.
I thought It was just my own freaky cat but i learned on another discussion board that this is pretty common.
