the other day i told a member of my family, and they nearly went apeshit.. my question: what reprecussions could this reasonably have?

Catholic Leaders Publicly Apologize over Child Abuse - Would WT Society ?
by flipper inmy answer would be, no, never.
wt society cannot and will not ever admit their faults regarding child abuse they failed to report.. in the sacramento bee article today it quoted cardinal sean brady as saying " he was " ashamed " of the role he played decades ago in handling accusations of child sexual abuse against a priest who went on later to sexually assault scores of children, and hinted that he might bow to calls for his resignation.
brady stated , " i want to say to anyone who has been hurt by any failure on my part that i apologize to you with all my heart.

Not the GB, apologizing would be admission of making a mistake and i have never seen them admitting any
mistake or wrongdoing in 140 years.
After all they are being used by the Creator Jehovah......God's Prophet on earth!!!!!!!

Faders are indeed a very large doormat
by moshe insorry, to be so blunt- for a whole day i have watched people here patting themselves on the back- we're a large army, oohh, look out wt, we might do something, well not today or tomorrow, but someday!
maybe, i have to just accept that a lot of jw's who are exiting the kh by the back door will never find a backbone to stand up to mummy and elder daddy.. jw's have a learned ability to see themselves in a better light than everyone else sees them.
ask a jw, if they are a charitable religion and they would likely all say they are, but when pressed to name a charity they will be unable to do so.

I don't think it's your business to judge how we decided to get out of the watchtower.
We all know our circumstances and what was best for us and our families.
It takes a lot of balls to walk away from the org. after decades in it and realizing you will lose all your friends and family,
whether you DF or DS or fade the outcome is almost the same.
Not every one has to come on this board and blow the trumpet of what their doing against the watchtower!

my sister is an ultra jw married to an elder.
my non jw grandfather just past away and my sister has said for the last 15 years that she wanted nothing to do with that side of my family including me and especially my grandfather.

living apart from the world
by looloo in"living apart from the world" is a phrase used by jws to proove that they are "different to other faiths and therefore "right" because jesus said true believers would have "no part of the world" but as a study i never thought they did "live apart from the world as they would go out for a drink, to see a show (performed by worldley people ) go on holidays , claim benefits , work with worldley people / go to school etc when you were jws did you actually feel you were no part of the world ?
i think the amish and the flds really do "live apart from the world " but your average jw probably hasnt even heard of them !.

I beleive the Amish use the same scripture for not using electricity or any motorized equipmnent,
so we see the stupidity of all religions in using a scripture, twisting it, interpreting it and manupulating it any way they want
to control and brainwash its members.
