Well to be honest i think it is a totally different kind of love that you have for a partner or your children.
Having said that if you mean if it came to having to choose between them it would be my children everytime.
i was watching this show in passing and they had a woman on there that said she loved her husband more than her children.
she said by putting her husband first it made her marriage stronger and happier and therefore it made her a better mother.. i did a double take when i heard that.
i don't think it is normal to love a spouse more than your child.

Serious answers please! So i was taking to someone at school today and i said that nowadays i neither believe or disbelieve things (we were talking bout spirits etc) and she said she does north american tarot cards (and that i'd be a good subject(!). So she invited me to the next party and i said ok. Thing is though my jw alarm bells started ringing and my husband freaked about it, so do you think tarot cards are real, a bit of fun, or totally demonised and i should steer clear? I still find that sort of thing freaky but i have always been interested too. But i don't want to get into something if its like ouija boards etc and i might get some ghostie following me home! Can i have some honest answers, if anyone knows anything about it, or if they do them etc, i'd really appreciate it.Thanks!
real shock i know that a jw would do that.
i found out today that my mom took my son to the kh behind my back when she was in town visiting.
he's just a little baby so he will have no memories of it.
So sorry your mum went against your wishes in this way, i'm not surprised you are mad with her and your babys father. I let my son go to a jw party at xmas time and he came back saying his nan was trying to get him to say he'd like to go to meetings, and hes 4 yrs old and neither of ;us were there, i told my husband there and then that i'd never leave my boy alone with her, but then he was a witness so he understands the control and thinking behind all this - in your mums eyes your little chap is a potential convert , her grandson she wants to 'save'.Its so sad they have to be like this. What about a cooling off period, explain to your mum that this will never happen again and make sure that she cannot have him on meeting days/nights, and if it ever happens again you will have to think about cutting contact. Yes the father should have taken your wishes seriously, i suggest the only thing is to show him exactly what sort of religion it is by internet, publications etc. I'm sorry i can't be more help but hugs to you.X
http://www.tomorrowsworld.org/welcome.shtml.
my husband and i watched a sermon today and it was eerily familiar, very weird.
go to this website and look at their magazines, twins i swear!
Weird. Well i saw that in the booklets section they'd been written by a Robert C Meredith so i googled his name and it brought a lot of stuff up. I looked at wikipedia link and it says hes an ordained evangelist from the living church of God and it mentions tomorrows world as well, so i think its all connected to LCG.
i bought flowers and a card for my step-mum.
i haven't known her very long, but she's a real sweetheart.
(non jw, of course).
Thanks free2think (good name btw) my boys are 2 and 4 yrs and permanently have their little fingers up their noses (take after their dad haha) so i shall probably skip on them making me breakfast in bed!lol
how in the hell did i miss these guys?
it took 16 years and donnie darko for me to discover these guys?.
wtf??
So whats wrong with James Blunt?!
I can vaguely (ahem i am so young) remember echo and bunnymen, i loved the lost boys film and soundtrack with them on, had to chuck them out when i was studying though ( grrr i used to love vampire films) but that is actually the only song i can remember. I think i was into the smiths and paul young back then!

Thanks DNC i'm sure i will love it!I'm going to mums to cook for 9 of us, not something i usually do so it'll be interesting!
Yes i'm rather fond of Somerset, but i've never lived anywhere else, and can't think that i ever will! The only place in Wales i've been to is Cardiff, shopping and seeing pop groups, saw Bryan Adams there years ago and Duran Duran about 5yrs ago(probably shouldn't mention that though lol)
Have a great day tomorrow and you too free2think! My mum has been SO long suffering!I think she can't wait to get a card from me at long last!
just visited my 80 year old mother who rarely goes witnessing.
noticed a pile of tracts for the memorial she has been given to distribute.
50 houses is a lot for an old lady you'd think jehovah's organization would cut her some slack.
I'll take the lot!I can shred it up and use it as cheap rabbit bedding, perfect for him to wee and mess on, its all a load of poo anyway!

Hiya its going to be the first time i've given my mum a card for years!I am giving my nan a card mainly because my husband is sending his nan one with his flowers, as he can't send his mother one cos shes a jw. I'm sending my dads partner card and flowers too, mothers day is expensive for me!Just do whatever you want to, if your nan hasn't anyone else to give her a card its a nice idea. Me too hoping to get brekkies in bed - but HIGHLY unlikely!lol Have a great day, its my first mothers day too from my sons
I saw the title and thought 'here we go again, sounds familiar!' - but i still looked just in case!
Enjoy your weekend
