I like Explorer type vehicles...but I think I would actually like a mini van. My husband kept saying they were pretty nice, but I always said "I will never have a mini-van"....then I realized it was because all those bad memories of being crammed in one like sardines whle out in field service! Funny how your subconcious gets to you.....I must be pretty free now that I would get a mini-van!

Generaration doctrine still current on Watchtower Site
by littlemike init is now over 11 years since the wtbts abandoned the generation doctrine linking those being born before 1914 and still being alive when armageddon arrives.. however it is still available as current doctrine on the watchtower web site.
this is not just a simple mistake.
the society did not have this web site running in 1995 when the doctrine was changed.

They are so ridiculous, aren't they?? The average JW doesn't even know what they teach though, so I bet it is hardly noticed by them.

Did You Know Many JWs that Were Always Depressed & Sick?

I remember them even talking about this on the platform...Either you are suffering from cancer or depression. It's this wicked system getting to us, and Satan is attacking all the good little dubs....So that is the excuse as to why all are miserable. Funny how getting out of the org is the best cure for depression!

Gigantopithecus?
by skyking inthis has been very interesting to say the least.
proof of ancient giants?
i don't think so.. i was talking this morning to a person that emailed me photos of giants that have been excavated and he claims this is proof of the nephilim.

This is an interesting topic. I was talking to my hubby about the nephlim...and he never heard the story. (and he grew up in a church) So, I told him...well you better go read the Bible...then I thought...maybe I need to go read the Bible! LOL....So, anyways I could not find anything in there about the Angels "looking down on the wemon of the earth and coming down to have sex with them" and producing Nephlim....So is this really in the Bible at all? If it is, can someone tell me where to read about it?

As a DUB, what did you do and hid so as not to stumble anyone?
by megsmomma ini was thinking of all the "concious matters" that you could do if you wanted, but would not tell anyone so you wouldn't get in "trouble".
one thing that came to my mind is when after having my baby, i wanted to join weight watchers...there were two meeting places to choose from...one close to me and in a church....and one quite far not in a church.
well, i went to the one in the church, always worried someone would see me(but i didn't really think it was a big deal) so, what did you all hide?

by smily inso i agreed to have a look at all this jw stuff just to save our relationship and after all that iam still not good enough!
well iam sure this is not a surprise to all you wise people here but i still dont understand....i never did think love conquered all...but ....he feels that as he is having doubts it must be wrong..i asked him what was more important-what i believed in or who i really was as a person?
he said i just dont understand...of course it was most important what i believed in and he cannot see himself living his life with anyone who is not fully in the truth!

Are YOU Basically The Same Person Now As When You Were A Witness?
by minimus inthey say "the truth" changes people from nasty, wicked people to meek, honest hearted "ones".
now that you're out of "the truth", are you back to your old ways??
did "the truth" ever really change you??

I have thought about this often....I feel like I am even BETTER than I was when I was a dub. Then I think about the things I would get DF'd for if I tried to pretend to go back. Tatoo's, drinking beer, swearing, watching any movie I want, sex(any way we want)with my husband, holidays, going to a worldly church, not accepting things just cause they say so,worldly friends, basically...not feeling guilty for being a normal person. (They hate that!)

Well....sometimes people start to think what they have is "too good to be true", or think they "don't deserve the happiness"......and they sabatoge the relationship. If that is the case with him, then I would advise you to just give him some space, but maybe send a card....let him know you are there for him if he needs a friend, whether he wants a relationship or not. I hope he isn't sick or anything like that.
If he is pushing you away because he has some sort of "relationship issues"...then he won't come around and your one more step closer to finding a true love!
Hang in there....I know how frusterating it is to wait on the right one....and recognizing it when you finally have it.
The secret to a staying together is....staying together. (Something my g-pa likes to say)
